11월 12일 스펄전 아침묵상 “너희 믿음의 시련.” [베드로전서 1장 7절]

November 12 "The trial of your faith" (1 Peter 1: 7). Faith untried may be true faith, but it is sure to be little faith.  It is likely to remain stunned as long as it is without trials.  Faith never prospers as well as when all things are against her.  Tempests are her tainers, and lightnings are her illuminators.  When calm reigns on the sea, spread the sails as you will, the ship will not move to its harbor.  But let the howling winds rush forth and rock the vessel until her deck is washed with waves and her mast sways under the pressure of the full and swelling sail.  It is then that she makes headway toward her desired heaven.  No faith is so precious as that which lives and triumphs in adversity.  You could not have believed your own weakness had you not been compelled to pass through the rivers.  You would never have known God's strength had you not been supported amid the flood waters.  Faith increases in solidity, assurance, and intensity the more it is exercised with tribulation.  Faith is precious, and its trial is precious too.  Do not let this discourage those who are young in faith.  You will have trials enough without seeking them.  The full portion will be measured out to you in due season.  Meanwhile, if you cannot yet claim the result of long experience, thank God for what grace you have.  Praise Him for that degree of holy confidence that you have attained.  Walk according to that rule, and you will have more and more of the blessing of God until your faith will remove mountains and conquer impossibilities.   11월 12일 제목 : 믿음의 시련 요절 : "너희 믿음의 시련이 불로 연단하여도 없어질 금보다도 더 귀하여 예수 그리스도의 나타나실 때에 칭찬과 영광과 존귀를 얻게 하려 함이라"(벧전1:7) 시련을 받지 않은 믿음도 진실한 믿음일 것입니다. 그러나 틀림없이 작은 믿음일 것입니다. 믿음이 시련을 겪지 않는 한 아마 그 믿음은 난쟁이(왜소한)상태로 머물러 있을 것입니다. 믿음은 모든 것이 대적해 올 때 이외에는 믿음이 결코 자라지 않습니다.(즉 모든 시련과 싸울 때에만 믿음이 자랍니다.)  폭풍우는 믿음의 훈련 자이고, 번개는 믿음을 비추어주는 조명 자입니다. 바다물이 잔잔할 때(바다가 고요할 때) 그대 마음껏 돛을 펴보십시오. 그래도 그 배는 그 배가 가야할 항구로 향하여 움직이지 않을 것입니다. 그러나 그 반대로 세찬 바람이 불어서, 그 배의 갑판이 파도에 씻기기까지 그 배가 흔들리고 그 돛대는 바람을 가득 받아 부풀어 오른 돛의 압력으로 삐걱 꺼린다고 합니다. 그러면 그 배는 그 소망하는 항구를 향하여 전진할 것입니다. 어떤 믿음도 역경속에서 살아 남아 승리한 믿음만큼 소중한 믿음은 없을 것입니다. 그대가 그 강물들을 억지로(강제로) 통과하지 않았더라면, 그대는 그대 자신의 연약함을 믿을 수 없었을 것입니다. 그대가 넘치는 물 가운데 그대를 붙들어 주셨던 하나님을 체험하지 않았다면, 그대는 결코 하나님의 능력을 알지 못했을 것입니다. 믿음은 그것이 시련으로훈련(연단) 받는 만큼 더 견고해지고, 확신이 커지고, 강해집니다. 믿음은 소중합니다. 또한 그 믿음의 시련(훈련)도 소중합니다. 믿음이 어린 성도들은 이 말에 낙심하지 마십시오.(즉 용기를 잃지 마십시오.) 그대들은 앞으로 시련을 구하지 않아도 많은 시련을 겪을 것입니다. 때가 오면 그대의 믿음을 연단(훈련)하기 위한 온전한 시련의 몫이 그대에게 나누어질 것입니다.(즉 하나님은 우리의 믿음의 훈련을 위하여 때 마추어 시련을 주십니다.) 그동안 만일 그대가 긴 시련의 경험의 결과를 아직 얻을 수 없을지라도, 그대가 갖고(받고)있는 은혜로 인하여 하나님께 감사하십시오. 그동안 그대가 얻은(달성한) 그 거룩한 믿음(확신감)의 등급(degree)을 주신 은혜에 감사하며 하나님을 찬양하십시오.(역자주1) 이 진리(규율)에 따라 걸으십시오.(생활하십시오) 그러면 하나님의 축복을 점점 더 많이 받아 마침내 그대의 믿음은 산을 옮길 것이고 불가능한 일들도 정복하게 될 것입니다. 주1 믿음의 등급(degree) : 시련으로 연단된 성숙한 믿음의 심도(深度)의 수준을 의미함.  [파일:1] [파일:2]
