"Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5: 24).

Heaven is a place where we will never sin and where we will cease our constant watch against an indefatigable enemy.  There will be no tempter to ensnare our feet.  There the weary are at rest.  Heaven is the "undefiled inheritance."  It is the land of perfect holiness and complete security.  But do not the saints even on earth sometimes taste the joys of blissful security?  The doctrine of God's Word is that all who are in union with the Lamb are safe.  Those who have committed their souls to the keeping of Christ will find Him a faithful and immutable preserver.  Sustained by such a doctrine, we can enjoy security even on earth.  Believer, let us often reflect with joy on the doctrine of the preservance of the saints and honor the faithfulness of our God by a holy confidence in Him.  May our God bring home to you a sense of your safety in Christ Jesus.  May He assure you that your name is graven on His hand and whisper in your ear the promise, "Fear not, I am with thee."  Look on Him, the great Surety of the covenant, as faithful and true, and, therefore, bound and engaged to present you, the weakest of the family, with all the chosen race before the throne of God.  "Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it."

요절 : "너희를 부르시는 이는 미쁘시니 그가 또한 이루시리라"(살전5:24)

하늘나라는 우리가 절대로 죄를 지을 수 없는 곳이고, 끈질긴 원수에 대한 계속적인 경계(감시)도 끝날 것입니다. 거기엔 우리의 발을 덫(올무)에 걸리게 할 유혹 자도 없을 것입니다. 그곳은 피곤한 자들이 안식하는 곳입니다. 천국은 "더럽혀지지 않는 기업"입니다. 천국은 완전히 거룩한 나라이고, 온전히 안전한 나라입니다. 사실 성도들은 이 땅에서도 때때로 이런 행복한 안전의 기쁨을 맞보지 않습니까? 하나님의 말씀은 어린양(예수 그리스도)과 연합한 자들은 안전하다고 가르치고 있습니다. 그리스도의 보호아래에 그들의 영혼을 맡긴 사람들은 그가 신실하시며 변치않는 보호자임을 알게 될 것입니다. 그러한 교리에지지(支持)되어 우리는 이 땅에서도 안전을 누릴 수 있습니다. 성도여, 성도들의 그 인내의 교훈을 자주 기쁨으로 묵상합시다. 그리고 주님께 거룩한 신뢰(믿음)를 드림으로서 우리 하나님의 신실성에 영광을 돌립시다. 우리 하나님께서 그대에게 그리스도 안에 있는 그대의 안전감을 더욱 확신(자각)시켜 주시길 기원합니다. 하나님께서 그대의 이름이 그의 손바닥에 새겨져 있다는 것을 (역자주1) 확신시켜 주시며, 그대의 귀에 "두려워 말라 내가 너와 함께 함이라"라는 약속의 말씀을 속삭여 주시기 바랍니다.(역자주2)

진실하시고 참되사, 위대한 언약의 보증인이 되신 주님을 바라보십시오. 그러면 주님은 가장 약한 권속인 그대도 택하신 모든 족속들과 함께 하나님의 보좌 앞에 반드시 세우실 것입니다.(bound and engaged to present you) "너희를 부르시는 이는 미쁘시니 그가 또한 이루시리라"(살전5:24)
