7월 11일 스펄전 아침묵상 “잠간 고난을 받은 너희를 친히 온전케 하시며 굳게 하시며 강하게 하시며 터를 견고케 하시리라.” [베드로전서 5장 10절]

July 11 "After that ye have suffered awhile, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you" (1 Peter 5: 10). You have seen the rainbow as it spans the plain.  It is beautiful, but it passes away.  The fair colors give way to the fleecy clouds, and the sky is no longer brilliant with the tints of heaven.  It is not established.  How can it be?  How can a glorious show made up of transitory sunbeams and passing raindrops remain?  The graces of the Christian character must not resemble the rainbow in its transitory beauty.  Seek, believer, that every good thing you have may be an established, settled thing.  May your character not be a writing on the sand but an inscription on the rock.  Be rooted and grounded in love.  May your whole life be so settled and established that all the blasts of hell and all the storms of earth will never be able to remove you.  Notice how this blessing of being established in the faith is gained.  The apostle's words point us to suffering as the means employed--"After that ye have suffered awhile."  It is of no use to hope that we will be well rooted if no rough winds pass over us.  Do not shrink from the tempestuous winds of trial, but take comfort, believing that by their rough discipline God is fulfilling this benediction to you.   7월 11일 제목 : 잠간의 고난 "잠간 고난을 받은 너희를 친히 온전케 하시며 굳게 하시며 강하게 하시며 터를 견고케 하시리라" (벧전 5: 10).  그대는 무지개가 평야 위에 드리워진 것을 보았습니다.  그것은 아름답지만 사라져 버립니다.  예쁜 색들은 뭉게구름에게 자리를 내어주고 하늘은 더 이상 천국의 색조로 아름답지 않습니다.  무지개는 확립되지 않았습니다.  어떻게 무지개는 확립될 수 있을까요?  어떻게 일시적인 태양광선과 지나가는 빗방울로 만들어진 훌륭한 구경거리가 지속될 수 있을까요?  기독교인 인격의 은혜는 일시적으로 아름다운 무지개를 닮아서는 안됩니다.  믿는 자여, 그대에게 있는 모든 좋은 것이 확립되고 정착된 것이 되도록 노력하십시오.  그대의 인격이 모래 위에 쓴 글이 아니라 바위에 새긴 글이 되기를 바랍니다.  사랑에 뿌리를 두고 근거를 두십시오.  그대의 전 생애가 잘 정착되고 확립되어서 지옥의 모든 바람과 땅의 모든 폭풍이 그대를 절대로 움직일 수 없기를 바랍니다.  믿음 안에 확립되는 축복이 어떻게 얻어지는 지 간파하십시오.  사도 베드로의 말씀은 고난이 여기에서 사용된 수단임을 일러줍니다--"잠간 고난을 받은 너희를."  우리 위로 험한 바람이 지나가지 않는다면 뿌리를 잘 내리기를 바라는 것은 소용이 없습니다.  시련의 모진 바람으로부터 물러서지 말고 이 바람의 험한 훈련으로써 하나님이 이 축복을 그대에게 성취하고 있다고 믿으면서 위안을 얻으십시오.  [파일:1]
