1At the end of twenty years, during which Solomon built the temple of the LORD and his own palace, |
1וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה שְׁלֹמֹה אֶת־בֵּית יְהוָה וְאֶת־בֵּיתֹו׃ |

2Solomon rebuilt the villages that Hiram had given him, and settled Israelites in them. |
2וְהֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר נָתַן חוּרָם לִשְׁלֹמֹה בָּנָה שְׁלֹמֹה אֹתָם וַיֹּושֶׁב שָׁם אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |

3Solomon then went to Hamath Zobah and captured it. |
3וַיֵּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה חֲמָת צֹובָה וַיֶּחֱזַק עָלֶיהָ׃ |
|
4He also built up Tadmor in the desert and all the store cities he had built in Hamath. |
4וַיִּבֶן אֶת־תַּדְמֹר בַּמִּדְבָּר וְאֵת כָּל־עָרֵי הַמִּסְכְּנֹות אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה בַּחֲמָת׃ |

5He rebuilt Upper Beth Horon and Lower Beth Horon as fortified cities, with walls and with gates and bars, |
5וַיִּבֶן אֶת־בֵּית חֹורֹון הָעֶלְיֹון וְאֶת־בֵּית חֹורֹון הַתַּחְתֹּון עָרֵי מָצֹור חֹומֹות דְּלָתַיִם וּבְרִיחַ׃ |

6as well as Baalath and all his store cities, and all the cities for his chariots and for his horses-whatever he desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon and throughout all the territory he ruled. |
6וְאֶת־בַּעֲלָת וְאֵת כָּל־עָרֵי הַמִּסְכְּנֹות אֲשֶׁר הָיוּ לִשְׁלֹמֹה וְאֵת כָּל־עָרֵי הָרֶכֶב וְאֵת עָרֵי הַפָּרָשִׁים וְאֵת כָּל־חֵשֶׁק שְׁלֹמֹה אֲשֶׁר חָשַׁק לִבְנֹות בִּירוּשָׁלִַם וּבַלְּבָנֹון וּבְכֹל אֶרֶץ מֶמְשַׁלְתֹּו׃ |
|
7All the people left from the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites (these peoples were not Israelites), |
7כָּל־הָעָם הַנֹּותָר מִן־הַחִתִּי וְהָאֱמֹרִי וְהַפְּרִזִּי וְהַחִוִּי וְהַיְבוּסִי אֲשֶׁר לֹא מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל הֵמָּה׃ |
|
8that is, their descendants remaining in the land, whom the Israelites had not destroyed-these Solomon conscripted for his slave labor force, as it is to this day. |
8מִן־בְּנֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר נֹותְרוּ אַחֲרֵיהֶם בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־כִלּוּם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיַּעֲלֵם שְׁלֹמֹה לְמַס עַד הַיֹּום הַזֶּה׃ |
|
9But Solomon did not make slaves of the Israelites for his work; they were his fighting men, commanders of his captains, and commanders of his chariots and charioteers. |
9וּמִן־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר לֹא־נָתַן שְׁלֹמֹה לַעֲבָדִים לִמְלַאכְתֹּו כִּי־הֵמָּה* אַנְשֵׁי מִלְחָמָה וְשָׂרֵי שָׁלִישָׁיו וְשָׂרֵי רִכְבֹּו וּפָרָשָׁיו׃ ף |
|
10They were also King Solomon's chief officials-two hundred and fifty officials supervising the men. |
10וְאֵלֶּה שָׂרֵי [כ= הַנְּצִיבִים] [ק= הַנִּצָּבִים] אֲשֶׁר־לַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה חֲמִשִּׁים וּמָאתָיִם הָרֹדִים בָּעָם׃ |

11Solomon brought Pharaoh's daughter up from the City of David to the palace he had built for her, for he said, "My wife must not live in the palace of David king of Israel, because the places the ark of the LORD has entered are holy." |
11וְאֶת־בַּת־פַּרְעֹה הֶעֱלָה שְׁלֹמֹה מֵעִיר דָּוִיד לַבַּיִת אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה־לָהּ כִּי אָמַר לֹא־תֵשֵׁב אִשָּׁה לִי בְּבֵית דָּוִיד מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי־קֹדֶשׁ הֵמָּה אֲשֶׁר־בָּאָה אֲלֵיהֶם אֲרֹון יְהוָה׃ ף |
|
12On the altar of the LORD that he had built in front of the portico, Solomon sacrificed burnt offerings to the LORD, |
12אָז הֶעֱלָה שְׁלֹמֹה עֹלֹות לַיהוָה עַל מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה לִפְנֵי הָאוּלָם׃ |

13according to the daily requirement for offerings commanded by Moses for Sabbaths, New Moons and the three annual feasts-the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. |
13וּבִדְבַר־יֹום בְּיֹום לְהַעֲלֹות כְּמִצְוַת מֹשֶׁה לַשַּׁבָּתֹות וְלֶחֳדָשִׁים וְלַמֹּועֲדֹות שָׁלֹושׁ פְּעָמִים בַּשָּׁנָה בְּחַג הַמַּצֹּות וּבְחַג הַשָּׁבֻעֹות וּבְחַג הַסֻּכֹּות׃ |
|
14In keeping with the ordinance of his father David, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their duties, and the Levites to lead the praise and to assist the priests according to each day's requirement. He also appointed the gatekeepers by divisions for the various gates, because this was what David the man of God had ordered. |
14וַיַּעֲמֵד כְּמִשְׁפַּט דָּוִיד־אָבִיו אֶת־מַחְלְקֹות הַכֹּהֲנִים עַל־עֲבֹדָתָם וְהַלְוִיִּם עַל־מִשְׁמְרֹותָם לְהַלֵּל וּלְשָׁרֵת נֶגֶד הַכֹּהֲנִים לִדְבַר־יֹום בְּיֹומֹו וְהַשֹּׁועֲרִים בְּמַחְלְקֹותָם לְשַׁעַר וָשָׁעַר כִּי כֵן מִצְוַת דָּוִיד אִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִים׃ |
|
15They did not deviate from the king's commands to the priests or to the Levites in any matter, including that of the treasuries. |
15וְלֹא סָרוּ מִצְוַת הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל־הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַלְוִיִּם לְכָל־דָּבָר וְלָאֹצָרֹות׃ |
|
16All Solomon's work was carried out, from the day the foundation of the temple of the LORD was laid until its completion. So the temple of the LORD was finished. |
16וַתִּכֹּן כָּל־מְלֶאכֶת שְׁלֹמֹה עַד־הַיֹּום מוּסַד בֵּית־יְהוָה וְעַד־כְּלֹתֹו שָׁלֵם בֵּית יְהוָה׃ ס |

17Then Solomon went to Ezion Geber and Elath on the coast of Edom. |
17אָז הָלַךְ שְׁלֹמֹה לְעֶצְיֹון־גֶּבֶר וְאֶל־אֵילֹות עַל־שְׂפַת הַיָּם בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדֹום׃ |
|
18And Hiram sent him ships commanded by his own officers, men who knew the sea. These, with Solomon's men, sailed to Ophir and brought back four hundred and fifty talents of gold, which they delivered to King Solomon. |
18וַיִּשְׁלַח־לֹו חוּרָם בְּיַד־עֲבָדָיו [כ= אֹונִיֹּות] [ק= אֳנִיֹּות] וַעֲבָדִים יֹודְעֵי יָם וַיָּבֹאוּ עִם־עַבְדֵי שְׁלֹמֹה אֹופִירָה וַיִּקְחוּ מִשָּׁם אַרְבַּע־מֵאֹות וַחֲמִשִּׁים כִּכַּר זָהָב וַיָּבִיאוּ אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה׃ ף |
1솔로몬이 여호와의 전과 자기의 궁궐을 이십 년 동안에 건축하기를 마치고
2후람이 솔로몬에게 되돌려 준 성읍들을 솔로몬이 건축하여 이스라엘 자손에게 거기에 거주하게 하니라
3솔로몬이 가서 하맛소바를 쳐서 점령하고
4또 광야에서 다드몰을 건축하고 하맛에서 모든 국고성들을 건축하고
5또 윗 벧호론과 아랫 벧호론을 건축하되 성벽과 문과 문빗장이 있게 하여 견고한 성읍으로 만들고
6또 바알랏과 자기에게 있는 모든 국고성들과 모든 병거성들과 마병의 성들을 건축하고 솔로몬이 또 예루살렘과 레바논과 그가 다스리는 온 땅에 건축하고자 하던 것을 다 건축하니라
7이스라엘이 아닌 헷 족속과 아모리 족속과 브리스 족속과 히위 족속과 여부스 족속의 남아 있는 모든 자
8곧 이스라엘 자손이 다 멸하지 않았으므로 그 땅에 남아 있는 그들의 자손들을 솔로몬이 역군으로 삼아 오늘에 이르렀으되
9오직 이스라엘 자손은 솔로몬이 노예로 삼아 일을 시키지 아니하였으니 그들은 군사와 지휘관의 우두머리들과 그의 병거와 마병의 지휘관들이 됨이라
10솔로몬 왕의 공장을 감독하는 자들이 이백오십 명이라 그들이 백성을 다스렸더라
11솔로몬이 바로의 딸을 데리고 다윗 성에서부터 그를 위하여 건축한 왕궁에 이르러 이르되 내 아내가 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 왕궁에 살지 못하리니 이는 여호와의 궤가 이른 곳은 다 거룩함이니라 하였더라
12솔로몬이 낭실 앞에 쌓은 여호와의 제단 위에 여호와께 번제를 드리되
13모세의 명령을 따라 매일의 일과대로 안식일과 초하루와 정한 절기 곧 일년의 세 절기 무교절과 칠칠절과 초막절에 드렸더라
14솔로몬이 또 그의 아버지 다윗의 규례를 따라 제사장들의 반열을 정하여 섬기게 하고 레위 사람들에게도 그 직분을 맡겨 매일의 일과대로 찬송하며 제사장들 앞에서 수종들게 하며 또 문지기들에게 그 반열을 따라 각 문을 지키게 하였으니 이는 하나님의 사람 다윗이 전에 이렇게 명령하였음이라
15제사장들과 레위 사람들이 국고 일에든지 무슨 일에든지 왕이 명령한 바를 전혀 어기지 아니하였더라
16솔로몬이 여호와의 전의 기초를 쌓던 날부터 준공하기까지 모든 것을 완비하였으므로 여호와의 전 공사가 결점 없이 끝나니라
17그 때에 솔로몬이 에돔 땅의 바닷가 에시온게벨과 엘롯에 이르렀더니
18후람이 그의 신복들에게 부탁하여 배와 바닷길을 아는 종들을 보내매 그들이 솔로몬의 종들과 함께 오빌에 이르러 거기서 금 사백오십 달란트를 얻어 솔로몬 왕에게로 가져왔더라
