1After David had constructed buildings for himself in the City of David, he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it. |
1וַיַּעַשׂ־לֹו בָתִּים בְּעִיר דָּוִיד וַיָּכֶן מָקֹום לַאֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים וַיֶּט־לֹו אֹהֶל׃ |

2Then David said, 'No one but the Levites may carry the ark of God, because the LORD chose them to carry the ark of the LORD and to minister before him forever.' |
2אָז אָמַר דָּוִיד לֹא לָשֵׂאת אֶת־אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים כִּי אִם־הַלְוִיִּם כִּי־בָם בָּחַר יְהוָה לָשֵׂאת אֶת־אֲרֹון יְהוָה וּלְשָׁרְתֹו עַד־עֹולָם׃ ס |

3David assembled all Israel in Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the LORD to the place he had prepared for it. |
3וַיַּקְהֵל דָּוִיד אֶת־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם לְהַעֲלֹות אֶת־אֲרֹון יְהוָה אֶל־מְקֹומֹו אֲשֶׁר־הֵכִין לֹו׃ |

4He called together the descendants of Aaron and the Levites: |
4וַיֶּאֱסֹף דָּוִיד אֶת־בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן וְאֶת־הַלְוִיִּם׃ |
|
5From the descendants of Kohath, Uriel the leader and 120 relatives; |
5לִבְנֵי קְהָת אוּרִיאֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִים׃ ס |
|
6from the descendants of Merari, Asaiah the leader and 220 relatives; |
6לִבְנֵי מְרָרִי עֲשָׂיָה הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מָאתַיִם וְעֶשְׂרִים׃ ס |
|
7from the descendants of Gershon, Joel the leader and 130 relatives; |
7לִבְנֵי גֵּרְשֹׁום יֹואֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים׃ ס |
|
8from the descendants of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the leader and 200 relatives; |
8לִבְנֵי אֱלִיצָפָן שְׁמַעְיָה הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מָאתָיִם׃ ס |
|
9from the descendants of Hebron, Eliel the leader and 80 relatives; |
9לִבְנֵי חֶבְרֹון אֱלִיאֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו שְׁמֹונִים׃ ס |
|
10from the descendants of Uzziel, Amminadab the leader and 112 relatives. |
10לִבְנֵי עֻזִּיאֵל עַמִּינָדָב הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וּשְׁנֵים עָשָׂר׃ ס |
|
11Then David summoned Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel and Amminadab the Levites. |
11וַיִּקְרָא דָוִיד לְצָדֹוק וּלְאֶבְיָתָר הַכֹּהֲנִים וְלַלְוִיִּם לְאוּרִיאֵל עֲשָׂיָה וְיֹואֵל שְׁמַעְיָה וֶאֱלִיאֵל וְעַמִּינָדָב׃ |
|
12He said to them, 'You are the heads of the Levitical families; you and your fellow Levites are to consecrate yourselves and bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, to the place I have prepared for it. |
12וַיֹּאמֶר לָהֶם אַתֶּם רָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות לַלְוִיִּם הִתְקַדְּשׁוּ אַתֶּם וַאֲחֵיכֶם וְהַעֲלִיתֶם אֵת אֲרֹון יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־הֲכִינֹותִי לֹו׃ |
|
13It was because you, the Levites, did not bring it up the first time that the LORD our God broke out in anger against us. We did not inquire of him about how to do it in the prescribed way.' |
13כִּי לְמַבָּרִאשֹׁונָה לֹא אַתֶּם פָּרַץ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ בָּנוּ כִּי־לֹא דְרַשְׁנֻהוּ כַּמִּשְׁפָּט׃ |
|
14So the priests and Levites consecrated themselves in order to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel. |
14וַיִּתְקַדְּשׁוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַלְוִיִּם לְהַעֲלֹות אֶת־אֲרֹון יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
|
15And the Levites carried the ark of God with the poles on their shoulders, as Moses had commanded in accordance with the word of the LORD. |
15וַיִּשְׂאוּ בְנֵי־הַלְוִיִּם אֵת אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה מֹשֶׁה כִּדְבַר יְהוָה בִּכְתֵפָם בַּמֹּטֹות עֲלֵיהֶם׃ ף |
|
16David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers to sing joyful songs, accompanied by musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals. |
16וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִיד לְשָׂרֵי הַלְוִיִּם לְהַעֲמִיד אֶת־אֲחֵיהֶם הַמְשֹׁרְרִים בִּכְלֵי־שִׁיר נְבָלִים וְכִנֹּרֹות וּמְצִלְתָּיִם מַשְׁמִיעִים לְהָרִים־בְּקֹול לְשִׂמְחָה׃ ף |
|
17So the Levites appointed Heman son of Joel; from his brothers, Asaph son of Berekiah; and from their brothers the Merarites, Ethan son of Kushaiah; |
17וַיַּעֲמִידוּ הַלְוִיִּם אֵת הֵימָן בֶּן־יֹואֵל וּמִן־אֶחָיו אָסָף בֶּן־בֶּרֶכְיָהוּ ס וּמִן־בְּנֵי מְרָרִי אֲחֵיהֶם אֵיתָן בֶּן־קוּשָׁיָהוּ׃ |
|
18and with them their brothers next in rank: Zechariah, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, the gatekeepers. |
18וְעִמָּהֶם אֲחֵיהֶם הַמִּשְׁנִים זְכַרְיָהוּ בֵּן וְיַעֲזִיאֵל וּשְׁמִירָמֹות וִיחִיאֵל וְעֻנִּי אֱלִיאָב וּבְנָיָהוּ וּמַעֲשֵׂיָהוּ וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ וֶאֱלִיפְלֵהוּ וּמִקְנֵיָהוּ וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וִיעִיאֵל הַשֹּׁעֲרִים׃ |

19The musicians Heman, Asaph and Ethan were to sound the bronze cymbals; |
19וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים הֵימָן אָסָף וְאֵיתָן בִּמְצִלְתַּיִם נְחֹשֶׁת לְהַשְׁמִיעַ׃ |
|
20Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah and Benaiah were to play the lyres according to alamoth, |
20וּזְכַרְיָה וַעֲזִיאֵל וּשְׁמִירָמֹות וִיחִיאֵל וְעֻנִּי וֶאֱלִיאָב וּמַעֲשֵׂיָהוּ וּבְנָיָהוּ בִּנְבָלִים עַל־עֲלָמֹות׃ |
|
21and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel and Azaziah were to play the harps, directing according to sheminith. |
21וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ וֶאֱלִיפְלֵהוּ וּמִקְנֵיָהוּ וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וִיעִיאֵל וַעֲזַזְיָהוּ בְּכִנֹּרֹות עַל־הַשְּׁמִינִית לְנַצֵּחַ׃ |
|
22Kenaniah the head Levite was in charge of the singing; that was his responsibility because he was skillful at it. |
22וּכְנַנְיָהוּ שַׂר־הַלְוִיִּם בְּמַשָּׂא יָסֹר בַּמַּשָּׂא כִּי מֵבִין הוּא׃ |
|
23Berekiah and Elkanah were to be doorkeepers for the ark. |
23וּבֶרֶכְיָה וְאֶלְקָנָה שֹׁעֲרִים לָאָרֹון׃ |
|
24Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah and Eliezer the priests were to blow trumpets before the ark of God. Obed-Edom and Jehiah were also to be doorkeepers for the ark. |
24וּשְׁבַנְיָהוּ וְיֹושָׁפָט וּנְתַנְאֵל וַעֲמָשַׂי וּזְכַרְיָהוּ וּבְנָיָהוּ וֶאֱלִיעֶזֶר הַכֹּהֲנִים [כ= מַחֲצֹצְרִים] [ק= מַחְצְרִים] בַּחֲצֹצְרֹות לִפְנֵי אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וִיחִיָּה שֹׁעֲרִים לָאָרֹון׃ |

25So David and the elders of Israel and the commanders of units of a thousand went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the house of Obed-Edom, with rejoicing. |
25וַיְהִי דָוִיד וְזִקְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְשָׂרֵי הָאֲלָפִים הַהֹלְכִים לְהַעֲלֹות אֶת־אֲרֹון בְּרִית־יְהוָה מִן־בֵּית עֹבֵד־אֱדֹם בְּשִׂמְחָה׃ ס |
|
26Because God had helped the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD, seven bulls and seven rams were sacrificed. |
26וַיְהִי בֶּעְזֹר הָאֱלֹהִים אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם נֹשְׂאֵי אֲרֹון בְּרִית־יְהוָה וַיִּזְבְּחוּ שִׁבְעָה־פָרִים וְשִׁבְעָה אֵילִים׃ |
|
27Now David was clothed in a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and as were the singers, and Kenaniah, who was in charge of the singing of the choirs. David also wore a linen ephod. |
27וְדָוִיד מְכֻרְבָּל בִּמְעִיל בּוּץ וְכָל־הַלְוִיִּם הַנֹּשְׂאִים אֶת־הָאָרֹון וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים וּכְנַנְיָה הַשַּׂר הַמַּשָּׂא הַמְשֹׁרְרִים וְעַל־דָּוִיד אֵפֹוד בָּד׃ |
|
28So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouts, with the sounding of rams' horns and trumpets, and of cymbals, and the playing of lyres and harps. |
28וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל מַעֲלִים אֶת־אֲרֹון בְּרִית־יְהוָה בִּתְרוּעָה וּבְקֹול שֹׁופָר וּבַחֲצֹצְרֹות וּבִמְצִלְתָּיִם מַשְׁמִעִים בִּנְבָלִים וְכִנֹּרֹות׃ |
|
29As the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David dancing and celebrating, she despised him in her heart. |
29וַיְהִי אֲרֹון בְּרִית יְהוָה בָּא עַד־עִיר דָּוִיד וּמִיכַל בַּת־שָׁאוּל נִשְׁקְפָה בְּעַד הַחַלֹּון וַתֵּרֶא אֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִיד מְרַקֵּד וּמְשַׂחֵק וַתִּבֶז לֹו בְּלִבָּהּ׃ ף

1다윗이 다윗 성에서 자기를 위하여 궁전을 세우고 또 하나님의 궤를 둘 곳을 마련하고 그것을 위하여 장막을 치고
2다윗이 이르되 레위 사람 외에는 하나님의 궤를 멜 수 없나니 이는 여호와께서 그들을 택하사 여호와의 궤를 메고 영원히 그를 섬기게 하셨음이라 하고
3다윗이 이스라엘 온 무리를 예루살렘으로 모으고 여호와의 궤를 그 마련한 곳으로 메어 올리고자 하여
4다윗이 아론 자손과 레위 사람을 모으니
5그핫 자손 중에 지도자 우리엘과 그의 형제가 백이십 명이요
6므라리 자손 중에 지도자 아사야와 그의 형제가 이백이십 명이요
7게르솜 자손 중에 지도자 요엘과 그의 형제가 백삼십 명이요
8엘리사반 자손 중에 지도자 스마야와 그의 형제가 이백 명이요
9헤브론 자손 중에 지도자 엘리엘과 그의 형제가 팔십 명이요
10웃시엘 자손 중에 지도자 암미나답과 그의 형제가 백십이 명이라
11다윗이 제사장 사독과 아비아달을 부르고 또 레위 사람 우리엘과 아사야와 요엘과 스마야와 엘리엘과 암미나답을 불러
12그들에게 이르되 너희는 레위 사람의 지도자이니 너희와 너희 형제는 몸을 성결하게 하고 내가 마련한 곳으로 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 궤를 메어 올리라
13전에는 너희가 메지 아니하였으므로 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 찢으셨으니 이는 우리가 규례대로 그에게 구하지 아니하였음이라 하니
14이에 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 궤를 메고 올라가려 하여 몸을 성결하게 하고
15모세가 여호와의 말씀을 따라 명령한 대로 레위 자손이 채에 하나님의 궤를 꿰어 어깨에 메니라
16다윗이 레위 사람의 어른들에게 명령하여 그의 형제들을 노래하는 자들로 세우고 비파와 수금과 제금 등의 악기를 울려서 즐거운 소리를 크게 내라 하매
17레위 사람이 요엘의 아들 헤만과 그의 형제 중 베레야의 아들 아삽과 그의 형제 므라리 자손 중에 구사야의 아들 에단을 세우고
18그 다음으로 그들의 형제 스가랴와 벤과 야아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 브나야와 마아세야와 맛디디야와 엘리블레후와 믹네야와 문지기 오벧에돔과 여이엘을 세우니
19노래하는 자 헤만과 아삽과 에단은 놋제금을 크게 치는 자요
20스가랴와 아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 마아세야와 브나야는 비파를 타서 알라못에 맞추는 자요
21맛디디야와 엘리블레후와 믹네야와 오벧에돔과 여이엘과 아사시야는 수금을 타서 여덟째 음에 맞추어 인도하는 자요
22레위 사람의 지도자 그나냐는 노래에 익숙하므로 노래를 인도하는 자요
23베레갸와 엘가나는 궤 앞에서 문을 지키는 자요
24제사장 스바냐와 요사밧과 느다넬과 아미새와 스가랴와 브나야와 엘리에셀은 하나님의 궤 앞에서 나팔을 부는 자요 오벧에돔과 여히야는 궤 앞에서 문을 지키는 자이더라
25이에 다윗과 이스라엘 장로들과 천부장들이 가서 여호와의 언약궤를 즐거이 메고 오벧에돔의 집에서 올라왔는데
26하나님이 여호와의 언약궤를 멘 레위사람을 도우셨으므로 무리가 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리로 제사를 드렸더라
27다윗과 및 궤를 멘 레위 사람과 노래하는 자와 그의 우두머리 그나냐와 모든 노래하는 자도 다 세마포 겉옷을 입었으며 다윗은 또 베 에봇을 입었고
28이스라엘 무리는 크게 부르며 뿔나팔과 나팔을 불며 제금을 치며 비파와 수금을 힘있게 타며 여호와의 언약궤를 메어 올렸더라
29여호와의 언약궤가 다윗 성으로 들어올 때에 사울의 딸 미갈이 창으로 내다보다가 다윗 왕이 춤추며 뛰노는 것을 보고 그 마음에 업신여겼더라
