2월 8일 마태복음 28:20 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라
인생의 변화와 도전을 두려워 마십시오. 그러한 변화와 도전이 오면 여러분의 아버지 되시는 하나님께서 능히 구하실 것을 확신하십시오. 그분께서 지금까지 지켜 주시지 아니하셨습니까? 그러니 그분 사랑의 손을 있는 대로 꼭 붙잡으십시오. 그분께서 안전하게 인도하실 것이며, 여러분이 설 힘조차 없을 때는 안아서라도 데려가실 것입니다.
아직 오지도 않은 내일 일은 쳐다보지 마십시오. 오늘 여러분을 보살피시는 그 아버지께서 내일만 아니라 날마다 여러분을 보살펴 주실 것입니다. 고통에서 친히 지켜주시든지, 그 고통을 견딜 만한 힘을 주시든지 하실 것입니다. 그러니 마음의 평화를 유지하고, 염려와 근심은 옆으로 젖혀 두십시오.
여호와는 나의 목자시니(시 23:1).
"목자였다"가 아닙니다. “목자인 것 같다" 도 아니고 "앞으로 목자일 것이다” 도 아닙니다. 지금 여호와는 나의 목자"이십니다. 그분께서는 주일에도 계시고 월요일에도 계시며 일주일 내내 계십니다. 일월에도 계시고 십이월에도 계시며, 일 년 내내 계십니다. 내가 고향에 있을 때나 중국에 있을 때나 늘 계십니다. 전시에도 계시고 평시에도 계시며, 풍족할 때나 궁핍할 때나 항상 계십니다.
그분께서 너를 위해 조용히 계획하신다.
너는 전능하신 보호의 대상,
하나님께서 친히 인도자 되셔서
알 수 없는 구덩이 지나가게 하신다.
그분께서 너를 위해 조용히 계획하신다.
결코 실수가 없으신 분!
하나님의 신실하심에 기대어라,
그분 안에서 능히 이기리라.
그분께서 너를 위해 조용히 계획하신다.
어떤 놀라운 사랑의 선물을.
누구도 본 적 없고 들은 바 없는,
너를 위한 그 선물, 위에 마련하셨으니.
그분께서 너를 위해 조용히 계획하신다.
그분의 목적 온전히 펴시는 날,
뒤엉킨 네 삶 마침내 빛나고,
거장의 솜씨 드러나리라.
그분께서 너를 위해 조용히 계획하신다.
너는 아버지 품 안의 행복한 자녀,

Hope vs. Fear
Lo, I am with you all the appointed days — Matt 28:20
Do not look forward to the changes and chances of this life in fear. Rather look at them with full hope that, as they arise, God, whose you are, will deliver you out of them. He has kept you hitherto; do you but hold fast to His dear hand, and He will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand, He will bear you in His arms.
Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow, and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then, put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations. —Frances do Sales
