성찬(1) 제2차 런던 신앙고백 30장 1-4항 설교/2023년 10월 5일 목요/이것은 너희를 위하는 내 몸이니 이것을 행하여 나를 기념하라/The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith

1항. 주 예수의 만찬은 주님께서 배반당하시던 그 날 밤에 직접 제정하신 것으로서 이 세상이 끝날 때까지 자신의 교회에서 거행하여 자신의 속죄의 죽으심을 지속적으로 기억하고 드러내도록 하신 것이다. 그리스도께서 이 성례전을 제정하신 목적은 신자들에게 그리스도의 죽음이 가져다주는 모든 은택을 확립해주기 위한 것이다. 즉, 신자들이 그리스도 안에서 영적인 양식을 공급받고 성숙하게 하는 것, 신자들이 그리스도에게서 비롯된 모든 의무에 더욱 헌신적으로 뛰어들도록 하는 것, 신자들이 그리스와 및 동료 신자들과 나누는 교제의 띠요 보증물이 되도록 하는 것이다. 
고전11:23-26
23. 내가 너희에게 전한 것은 주께 받은 것이니 곧 주 예수께서 잡히시던 밤에 떡을 가지사 24. 축사하시고 떼어 이르시되 이것은 너희를 위하는 내 몸이니 이것을 행하여 나를 기념하라 하시고 25. 식후에 또한 그와 같이 잔을 가지시고 이르시되 이 잔은 내 피로 세운 새 언약이니 이것을 행하여 마실 때마다 나를 기념하라 하셨으니 26. 너희가 이 떡을 먹으며 이 잔을 마실 때마다 주의 죽으심을 그가 오실 때까지 전하는 것이니라
고전10:16-17
16. 우리가 축복하는 바 축복의 잔은 그리스도의 피에 참여함이 아니며 우리가 떼는 떡은 그리스도의 몸에 참여함이 아니냐 17. 떡이 하나요 많은 우리가 한 몸이니 이는 우리가 다 한 떡에 참여함이라
고전10:21 너희가 주의 잔과 귀신의 잔을 겸하여 마시지 못하고 주의 식탁과 귀신의 식탁에 겸하여 참여하지 못하리라

2항. 이 의식에서는 그리스도꼐서 성부 하나님께 바쳐지는 것도 아니며, 또한 산 자와 죽은 자의 죄를 용서하시기 위해 어떤 희생 제사가 실제로 이루어지는 것이 아니다. 오직 그리스도가 십자가 위에서 영원히 단번에 직접 드린 그 희생을 기념할 뿐이다. 그리고 이 기념에는 갈보리 십자가로 인하여 하나님께 가능한 모든 찬양으로 드리는 영적 봉헌이 수반된다. 그러므로 교황주의적 미사 희생제의는 가장 혐오스러운 것이며 그리스도께서 드린 희생을 손상하는 것이다. 그리스도께서 드린 희생은 택자들의 모든 죄를 씻기 위한 유일한 속죄이다. 
히9:25-26
25. 대제사장이 해마다 다른 것의 피로써 성소에 들어가는 것 같이 자주 자기를 드리려고 아니하실지니
26. 그리하면 그가 세상을 창조한 때부터 자주 고난을 받았어야 할 것이로되 이제 자기를 단번에 제물로 드려 죄를 없이 하시려고 세상 끝에 나타나셨느니라
히9:28 이와 같이 그리스도도 많은 사람의 죄를 담당하시려고 단번에 드리신 바 되셨고 구원에 이르게 하기 위하여 죄와 상관 없이 자기를 바라는 자들에게 두 번째 나타나시리라
고전11:24 축사하시고 떼어 이르시되 이것은 너희를 위하는 내 몸이니 이것을 행하여 나를 기념하라 하시고
마26:26-27 그들이 먹을 때에 예수께서 떡을 가지사 축복하시고 떼어 제자들에게 주시며 이르시되 받아서 먹으라 이것은 내 몸이니라 하시고 또 잔을 가지사 감사 기도 하시고 그들에게 주시며 이르시되 너희가 다 이것을 마시라

3항. 주 예수 그리스도는 이 의식에서, 자신의 사역자들이 기도하고 떡과 포도주라는 요소에 축복한 뒤에, 성찬 참여자들에게 떡을 떼어주고 잔을 나누어 참여하도록 정하셨다. 
고전 11:23-26
23 For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread 24 and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you.* Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” 26 For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.

4항. 참여자들에게 잔을 나누기를 거부하는 것, 성찬의 요소들을 예배하고 찬양을 바칠 정도로까지 높이거나 그럴듯한 종교적인 용도로 사용하기 위하여 보존하는 행위들은 이 의식의 본성과 그리스도의 제정하심에 전적으로 반하는 것이다.
마26:26-28
마15:9 사람의 계명으로 교훈을 삼아 가르치니 나를 헛되이 경배하는도다 하였느니라 하시고
Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’* ”
출20:4-5 너를 위하여 새긴 우상을 만들지 말고 또 위로 하늘에 있는 것이나 아래로 땅에 있는 것이나 땅 아래 물 속에 있는 것의 어떤 형상도 만들지 말며 그것들에게 절하지 말며 그것들을 섬기지 말라 나 네 하나님 여호와는 질투하는 하나님인즉 나를 미워하는 자의 죄를 갚되 아버지로부터 아들에게로 삼사 대까지 이르게 하거니와
4 “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. 5 You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.

The supper of the Lord Jesus was instituted by him the same night wherein he was betrayed, to be observed in his churches, unto the end of the world, for the perpetual remembrance, and showing to all the world the sacrifice of himself in his death,1 confirmation of the faith of believers in all the benefits thereof, their spiritual nourishment, and growth in him, their further engagement in, and to all duties which they owe to him; and to be a bond and pledge of their communion with him, and with each other.2

In this ordinance Christ is not offered up to his Father, nor any real sacrifice made at all for remission of sin of the quick or dead, but only a memorial of that one offering up of himself by himself upon the cross, once for all;3 and a spiritual oblation of all possible praise unto God for the same.4 So that the popish sacrifice of the mass, as they call it, is most abominable, injurious to Christ's own sacrifice the alone propitiation for all the sins of the elect.

The denial of the cup to the people, worshipping the elements, the lifting them up, or carrying them about for adoration, and reserving them for any pretended religious use, are all contrary to the nature of this ordinance, and to the institution of Christ.6
