10월 18일 스펄전 아침묵상 “주의 길에는 기름이 떨어지며.”[시편 65편 11절]

"Thy paths drop fatness" (Psalm 65: 11).

Many are "the paths of the Lord" which "drop fatness," but a special one is the path of prayer.  No believer who is much in the prayer closet will need to cry, "My leanness, my leanness; woe unto me" (Isaiah 24: 16).  Starving souls live at a distance from the mercy-seat and become like the parched fields in times of drought.  Prevalence with God in wrestling prayer is sure to make the believer strong.  The nearest place to the gate of heaven is the throne of heavenly grace.  Spend much time alone with Jesus, and you will have much assurance.  Spend little time alone with Jesus, and your faith will be shallow, polluted with many doubts and fears, and lacking in the joy of the Lord.  The soul-enriching path of prayer is open to the very weakest saint and no high attainments are required.  See to it, dear reader, that you are often in private devotion and fellowship with Jesus.  Earth has no words which can set forth the holy calm of a soul leaning on Jesus' bosom.  Few Christians understand it.  They live in the lowlands and seldom climb to the top.  They live in the outer court.  They do not enter the holy place.  At a distance they see the sacrifice, but they do not sit down with the priest to eat and enjoy the fat of the burnt offering.  But, reader, sit under the shadow of Jesus.  Let your Beloved be as the apple tree among the trees of the woods, and you will be satisfied as with marrow and fatness.  O Jesus, visit us with Your salvation.

제목 : 주의 길의 기름

요절 : "주의 은택으로 년사에 관 씌우시니 주의 길에는 기름이 떨어지며"(시65:11)

"기름이 떨어지는 주의 길들"은 많이 있습니다. 그러나 그중 특별한 한 길은 기도의 길입니다. 기도의 골방에서 많은 시간을 보낸 성도는, "나는 쇠잔하였고. 나는 쇠잔 하였으니 내게 화가 있도다"(사24:16)라고 부르짖을 필요가 없을 것입니다. 굶주린 영혼들(사람들)은 시은좌(은혜의 보좌)에서 좀 떨어져 살고 있기 때문에 가뭄 때에 바짝 마른 들판(밭)과 같이 된 것입니다. 야곱 같이 정성껏 기도하여 하나님을 이기는 기도는 분명히 성도들을(영적으로) 강건하게 할 것입니다.(역자주1)

천국의 문에 가장 가까운 장소는 하늘의 은혜의 보좌입니다. 예수님과 단 둘이만 있는 시간을 많이 보내세요. 그러면 그대는 더 많은 확신을 가질 것입니다. 반대로 예수님과만 함께 보내는 시간을 거의 갖지 않는다면, 그대의 믿음은 천박해지고(얕아지고) 많은 의심과 두려움으로 물들 것입니다.(즉 더럽혀질 것입니다.)

그리고 주님이 주시는 기쁨이 없을 것입니다.(즉 주님의 기쁨이 부족할 것입니다.) 영혼을 풍요롭게 해주는 기도의 길은 가장 연약한 성도에게 활짝 열려 있습니다. 그리고 그 어떤 높은(대단한) 성취(학문, 영예, 부, 공적등)들을 필요로 하지 않습니다. 사랑하는 독자여, 그대는 꼭 자주 은밀한(개인적인)기도와 예수님과의 교제를 갖도록 하십시오.

세상의 누구도 예수님의 가슴에 기대는 영혼의 그 거룩한 평온의 행복을 표현할 수 있는 말들을 가진 사람은 없습니다. 그리스찬들도 그것을 이해하는 사람은 매우 드뭅니다.(거의 없습니다)  그들은 낮은 땅(저지)에 살며 거의 꼭대기(정상)로 올라가지 않습니다. 그들은 궁정의 외곽에(밖에)살고 있습니다. 그들은 성소에는 들어가지 않습니다. 그들은 좀 떨어져서 희생제물을 보지만, 제사장과 함께 앉아서 먹거나 번제물의 기름을 즐기지 않습니다.  그러나 이 글을 읽는 독자여, 예수님의 그늘에 앉으십시오.(역자주2)  그대의 사랑인 주님께서 숲속의 나무들 중 사과나무처럼 되게 하십시오.(역자주3) 그러면 그대는 골수와 기름으로 배부를 것입니다. 오 예수님, 주님의 구원으로 우리를 찾아 주시옵소서.
