2월 17일 스펄전 아침묵상 “이삭은 브엘 라해로이 근처에 거하였더라” [창세기 25장 11절]

February  17 "Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi" (Genesis 25: 11). Hagar had once found deliverance there, and Ishmael drank from the water so graciously revealed by the God who lives and sees the sons of men.  But this was a merely a casual visit, such as worldlings pay to the Lord in times of need, when it serves their turn.  They cry to Him in trouble, but forsake Him in prosperity.  Isaac dwelt there, and made the well of the living and all-seeing God his constant source of supply.  The usual tenor of a man's life, the dwelling of his soul, is the true test of his state.  Perhaps the providential visitation experienced by Hagar struck Isaac's mind and led him to revere the place.  Its mystical name endeared it to him.  His frequent musings by its brim made him familiar with the well.  His meeting Rebecca there had made his spirit feel at home near the spot.  Best of all, the fact that he enjoyed fellowship with the living God there made him select that hallowed ground for his dwelling.  Let us learn to live in the presence of the living God.  The well of the Creator never fails.  Happy is he who dwells at the well.  The Lord has been a sure helper to others: His name is Shaddai, God All-Sufficient.  Through Him our soul has found her glorious Husband, the Lord Jesus.  In Him we live, move, and have our being.  Let us dwell in close fellowship with Him.  Glorious Lord, constrain us that we may never leave You but dwell by the well of the living God.   2월 17일 제목 : 이삭의 거주 "이삭은 브엘 라해로이 근처에 거하였더라" (창 25: 11). 하갈이 그곳에서 한번 구원받은 적이 있었으며, 이스마엘은 살아계시며 사람의 아들들을 보고계시는 하나님이 참으로 은혜롭게 나타내신 물을 마셨었습니다.  그러나 이것은 단지 우연한 방문으로, 속된 사람들이 어려울 때, 곧 자기에게 득이 되는 것이 있을 때 주님을 찾아가는 것과 같은 것이었습니다.  이런 사람들은 곤란에 처하면 하나님께 부르짖으나 아쉬울 게 없으면 하나님을 버립니다.  이삭은 그곳에서 살았으며, 살아계시고 모든 것을 보시는 하나님의 그 우물을 자신의 부단한 공급의 근원으로 삼았습니다.  한 사람의 전반적인 인생의 방향, 곧 그의 영혼이 사는 곳이 그 사람의 상태를 판단하는 진정한 테스트입니다.  아마 하갈이 경험한 섭리의 방문이 이삭의 마음을 울려 그로 하여금 그 장소를 외경하게 했을지도 모릅니다.  그곳의 신비로운 이름이 그에게 그곳이 더 소중하게 느껴지게 했습니다.  우물 언저리 옆에서 자주 사색함으로써 그는 그 우물에 친숙하게 되었습니다.  그가 리브가를 거기에서 만났기 때문에 그 주변에서 그의 영혼은 편안함을 느꼈습니다.  무엇보다도 그가 거기에서 살아계신 하나님과 교제를 누렸다는 사실이 그로 하여금 그 거룩한 땅을 자기 거처로 택하게 했습니다.  우리도 살아계신 하나님의 임재 속에서 살도록 합시다.  창조주의 우물은 결코 마르지 않습니다.  그 우물가에서 사는 사람은 복됩니다.  주님은 다른 이들에게 확실하게 도움을 주시는 분입니다.  그의 이름은 샤다이, 곧 모든 것이 충분한 하나님입니다.  이 하나님을 통해서 우리 영혼은 영광스러운 남편 주 예수를 찾았습니다.  이 하나님 안에서 우리는 살고, 움직이고, 우리의 존재를 갖습니다.  그분과 가까이 교제하면서 삽시다.  영광의 주님, 우리가 당신을 절대로 떠나지 않고 살아계신 하나님의 우물가에서 살도록 우리를 매어(constrain) 주소서.
