1This is the written account of Adam's line. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. |
1זֶה סֵפֶר תֹּולְדֹת אָדָם בְּיֹום בְּרֹא אֱלֹהִים אָדָם בִּדְמוּת אֱלֹהִים עָשָׂה אֹתֹו׃ |

2He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, he called them 'man.' |
2זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה בְּרָאָם וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁםָם אָדָם בְּיֹום הִבָּרְאָם׃ ס |

3When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. |
3וַיְחִי אָדָם שְׁלֹשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בִּדְמוּתֹו כְּצַלְמֹו וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו שֵׁת׃ |

4After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. |
4וַיִּהְיוּ יְמֵי־אָדָם אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־שֵׁת שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

5Altogether, Adam lived 930 years, and then he died. |
5וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אָדָם אֲשֶׁר־חַי תְּשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

6When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father of Enosh. |
6וַיְחִי־שֵׁת חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ׃ |
|
7And after he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. |
7וַיְחִי־שֵׁת אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

8Altogether, Seth lived 912 years, and then he died. |
8וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־שֵׁת שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

9When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan. |
9וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ תִּשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־קֵיןָן׃ |
|
10And after he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. |
10וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־קֵיןָן חֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

11Altogether, Enosh lived 905 years, and then he died. |
11וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אֱנֹושׁ חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

12When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel. |
12וַיְחִי קֵיןָן שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל׃ |
|
13And after he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. |
13וַיְחִי קֵיןָן אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

14Altogether, Kenan lived 910 years, and then he died. |
14וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי קֵיןָן עֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

15When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared. |
15וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־יָרֶד׃ |
|
16And after he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. |
16וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־יֶרֶד שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

17Altogether, Mahalalel lived 895 years, and then he died. |
17וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

18When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch. |
18וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ׃ |
|
19And after he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. |
19וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

20Altogether, Jared lived 962 years, and then he died. |
20וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ף |

21When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. |
21וַיְחִי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מְתוּשָׁלַח׃ |
|
22And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. |
22וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מְתוּשֶׁלַח שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
|
23Altogether, Enoch lived 365 years. |
23וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה׃ |

24Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. |
24וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֵינֶנּוּ כִּי־לָקַח אֹתֹו אֱלֹהִים׃ ף |
|
25When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech. |
25וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח שֶׁבַע וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־לָמֶךְ׃ |
|
26And after he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. |
26וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹונִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
|
27Altogether, Methuselah lived 969 years, and then he died. |
27וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מְתוּשֶׁלַח תֵּשַׁע וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ף |

28When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. |
28וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בֵּן׃ |
|
29He named him Noah and said, 'He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the LORD has cursed.' |
29וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו נֹחַ לֵאמֹר זֶה* יְנַחֲמֵנוּ מִמַּעֲשֵׂנוּ וּמֵעִצְּבֹון יָדֵינוּ מִן־הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר אֵרְרָהּ יְהוָה׃ |
|
30After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. |
30וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־נֹחַ חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
|
31Altogether, Lamech lived 777 years, and then he died. |
31וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי־לֶמֶךְ שֶׁבַע וְשִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

32After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth. |
32וַיְהִי־נֹחַ בֶּן־חֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד נֹחַ אֶת־שֵׁם אֶת־חָם וְאֶת־יָפֶת׃ |
1아담의 역사는 이러하다. 하나님이 사람을 창조하실 때에, 하나님의 형상대로 사람을 만드셨다.
2하나님은 그들을 남자와 여자로 창조하셨다. 그들을 창조하시던 날에, 하나님은 그들에게 복을 주시고, 그들의 이름을 '사람'이라고 하셨다.
3아담은 백서른 살에 자기의 형상 곧 자기의 모습을 닮은 아이를 낳고, 이름을 셋이라고 하였다.
4아담은 셋을 낳은 뒤에, 팔백 년을 살면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
5아담은 모두 구백삼십 년을 살고 죽었다.
6셋은 백다섯 살에 에노스를 낳았다.
7셋은 에노스를 낳은 뒤에, 팔백칠 년을 살면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
8셋은 모두 구백십이 년을 살고 죽었다.
9에노스는 아흔 살에 게난을 낳았다.
10에노스는 게난을 낳은 뒤에, 팔백십오 년을 살면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
11에노스는 모두 구백오 년을 살고 죽었다.
12게난은 일흔 살에 마할랄렐을 낳았다.
13게난은 마할랄렐을 낳은 뒤에, 팔백사십 년을 살면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
14게난은 모두 구백십 년을 살고 죽었다.
15마할랄렐은 예순다섯 살에 야렛을 낳았다.
16마할랄렐은 야렛을 낳은 뒤에, 팔백삼십 년을 살면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
17마할랄렐은 모두 팔백구십오 년을 살고 죽었다.
18야렛은 백예순두 살에 에녹을 낳았다.
19야렛은 에녹을 낳은 뒤에, 팔백 년을 살면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
20야렛은 모두 구백육십이 년을 살고 죽었다.
21에녹은 예순다섯 살에 므두셀라를 낳았다.
22에녹은 므두셀라를 낳은 뒤에, 삼백 년 동안 하나님과 동행하면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
23에녹은 모두 삼백육십오 년을 살았다.
24에녹은 하나님과 동행하다가 사라졌다. 하나님이 그를 데려가신 것이다.
25므두셀라는 백여든일곱 살에 라멕을 낳았다.
26므두셀라는 라멕을 낳은 뒤에, 칠백팔십이 년을 살면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
27므두셀라는 모두 구백육십구 년을 살고 죽었다.
28라멕은 백여든두 살에 아들을 낳았다.
29그는 아들의 이름을 노아라고 짓고 말하였다. "주님께서 저주하신 땅 때문에, 우리가 수고하고 고통을 겪어야 하는데, 이 아들이 우리를 위로할 것이다."
30라멕은 노아를 낳은 뒤에, 오백아흔다섯 살을 살면서 아들딸을 낳았다.
31라멕은 모두 칠백칠십칠 년을 살고 죽었다.
32노아는 오백 살이 지나서, 셈과 함과 야벳을 낳았다.
