1"Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.
1וְאַתָּה בֶן־אָדָם הִנָּבֵא עַל־גֹּוג וְאָמַרְתָּ כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי אֵלֶיךָ גֹּוג נְשִׂיא רֹאשׁ מֶשֶׁךְ וְתֻבָל׃
2I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel.
2וְשֹׁבַבְתִּיךָ וְשִׁשֵּׁאתִיךָ וְהַעֲלִיתִיךָ מִיַּרְכְּתֵי צָפֹון וַהֲבִאֹותִךָ עַל־הָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
3Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand.
3וְהִכֵּיתִי קַשְׁתְּךָ מִיַּד שְׂמֹאולֶךָ וְחִצֶּיךָ מִיַּד יְמִינְךָ אַפִּיל׃
4On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals.
4עַל־הָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תִּפֹּול אַתָּה וְכָל־אֲגַפֶּיךָ וְעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר אִתָּךְ לְעֵיט צִפֹּור כָּל־כָּנָף וְחַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה נְתַתִּיךָ לְאָכְלָה׃
5You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD.
5עַל־פְּנֵי הַשָּׂדֶה תִּפֹּול כִּי אֲנִי דִבַּרְתִּי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃
6I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.
6וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־אֵשׁ בְּמָגֹוג וּבְיֹשְׁבֵי הָאִיִּים לָבֶטַח וְיָדְעוּ כִּי־אֲנִי יְהוָה׃
7" 'I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel.
7וְאֶת־שֵׁם קָדְשִׁי אֹודִיעַ בְּתֹוךְ עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא־אַחֵל אֶת־שֵׁם־קָדְשִׁי עֹוד וְיָדְעוּ הַגֹּויִם כִּי־אֲנִי יְהוָה קָדֹושׁ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃
8It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD. This is the day I have spoken of.
8הִנֵּה בָאָה וְנִהְיָתָה נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הוּא הַיֹּום אֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתִּי׃
9" 'Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up-the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel.
9וְיָצְאוּ יֹשְׁבֵי עָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבִעֲרוּ וְהִשִּׂיקוּ בְּנֶשֶׁק וּמָגֵן וְצִנָּה בְּקֶשֶׁת וּבְחִצִּים וּבְמַקֵּל יָד וּבְרֹמַח וּבִעֲרוּ בָהֶם אֵשׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים׃
10They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign LORD.
10וְלֹא־יִשְׂאוּ עֵצִים מִן־הַשָּׂדֶה וְלֹא יַחְטְבוּ מִן־הַיְּעָרִים כִּי בַנֶּשֶׁק יְבַעֲרוּ־אֵשׁ וְשָׁלְלוּ אֶת־שֹׁלְלֵיהֶם וּבָזְזוּ אֶת־בֹּזְזֵיהֶם נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃ ס
11" 'On that day I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, in the valley of those who travel east toward the Sea. It will block the way of travelers, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there. So it will be called the Valley of Hamon Gog.
11וְהָיָה בַיֹּום הַהוּא אֶתֵּן לְגֹוג מְקֹום־שָׁם קֶבֶר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל גֵּי הָעֹבְרִים קִדְמַת הַיָּם וְחֹסֶמֶת הִיא אֶת־הָעֹבְרִים וְקָבְרוּ שָׁם אֶת־גֹּוג וְאֶת־כָּל־הֲמֹונֹה* וְקָרְאוּ גֵּיא הֲמֹון גֹּוג׃
12" 'For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land.
12וּקְבָרוּם בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמַעַן טַהֵר אֶת־הָאָרֶץ שִׁבְעָה חֳדָשִׁים׃
13All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I am glorified will be a memorable day for them, declares the Sovereign LORD.
13וְקָבְרוּ כָּל־עַם הָאָרֶץ וְהָיָה לָהֶם לְשֵׁם יֹום הִכָּבְדִי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃
14" 'Men will be regularly employed to cleanse the land. Some will go throughout the land and, in addition to them, others will bury those that remain on the ground. At the end of the seven months they will begin their search.
14וְאַנְשֵׁי תָמִיד יַבְדִּילוּ עֹבְרִים בָּאָרֶץ מְקַבְּרִים אֶת־הָעֹבְרִים אֶת־הַנֹּותָרִים עַל־פְּנֵי הָאָרֶץ לְטַהֲרָהּ מִקְצֵה שִׁבְעָה־חֳדָשִׁים יַחְקֹרוּ׃
15As they go through the land and one of them sees a human bone, he will set up a marker beside it until the gravediggers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog.
15וְעָבְרוּ הָעֹבְרִים בָּאָרֶץ וְרָאָה עֶצֶם אָדָם וּבָנָה אֶצְלֹו צִיּוּן עַד קָבְרוּ אֹתֹו הַמְקַבְּרִים אֶל־גֵּיא הֲמֹון גֹּוג׃
16(Also a town called Hamonah will be there.) And so they will cleanse the land.'
16וְגַם שֶׁם־עִיר הֲמֹונָה וְטִהֲרוּ הָאָרֶץ׃ ס
17"Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Call out to every kind of bird and all the wild animals: 'Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood.
17וְאַתָּה בֶן־אָדָם כֹּה־אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהֹוִה אֱמֹר לְצִפֹּור כָּל־כָּנָף וּלְכֹל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה הִקָּבְצוּ וָבֹאוּ הֵאָסְפוּ מִסָּבִיב עַל־זִבְחִי אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי זֹבֵחַ לָכֶם זֶבַח גָּדֹול עַל הָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַאֲכַלְתֶּם בָּשָׂר וּשְׁתִיתֶם דָּם׃
18You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls-all of them fattened animals from Bashan.
18בְּשַׂר גִּבֹּורִים תֹּאכֵלוּ וְדַם־נְשִׂיאֵי הָאָרֶץ תִּשְׁתּוּ אֵילִים כָּרִים וְעַתּוּדִים פָּרִים מְרִיאֵי בָשָׁן כֻּלָּם׃
19At the sacrifice I am preparing for you, you will eat fat till you are glutted and drink blood till you are drunk.
19וַאֲכַלְתֶּם־חֵלֶב לְשָׂבְעָה וּשְׁתִיתֶם דָּם לְשִׁכָּרֹון מִזִּבְחִי אֲשֶׁר־זָבַחְתִּי לָכֶם׃
20At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,' declares the Sovereign LORD.
20וּשְׂבַעְתֶּם עַל־שֻׁלְחָנִי סוּס וָרֶכֶב גִּבֹּור וְכָל־אִישׁ מִלְחָמָה נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃
21'I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay upon them.
21וְנָתַתִּי אֶת־כְּבֹודִי בַּגֹּויִם וְרָאוּ כָל־הַגֹּויִם אֶת־מִשְׁפָּטִי אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי וְאֶת־יָדִי אֲשֶׁר־שַׂמְתִּי בָהֶם׃
22From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God.
22וְיָדְעוּ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם מִן־הַיֹּום הַהוּא וָהָלְאָה׃
23And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.
23וְיָדְעוּ הַגֹּויִם כִּי בַעֲוֹנָם גָּלוּ בֵית־יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל אֲשֶׁר מָעֲלוּ־בִי וָאַסְתִּר פָּנַי מֵהֶם וָאֶתְּנֵם בְּיַד צָרֵיהֶם וַיִּפְּלוּ בַחֶרֶב כֻּלָּם׃
24I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my face from them.
24כְּטֻמְאָתָם וּכְפִשְׁעֵיהֶם עָשִׂיתִי אֹתָם וָאַסְתִּר פָּנַי מֵהֶם׃ ס
25'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will now bring Jacob back from captivity and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name.
25לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה עַתָּה אָשִׁיב אֶת־[כ= שְׁבִית] [ק= שְׁבוּת] יַעֲקֹב וְרִחַמְתִּי כָּל־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וְקִנֵּאתִי לְשֵׁם קָדְשִׁי׃
26They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid.
26וְנָשׂוּ אֶת־כְּלִמָּתָם וְאֶת־כָּל־מַעֲלָם אֲשֶׁר מָעֲלוּ־בִי בְּשִׁבְתָּם עַל־אַדְמָתָם לָבֶטַח וְאֵין מַחֲרִיד׃
27When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will show myself holy through them in the sight of many nations.
27בְּשֹׁובְבִי אֹותָם מִן־הָעַמִּים וְקִבַּצְתִּי אֹתָם מֵאַרְצֹות אֹיְבֵיהֶם וְנִקְדַּשְׁתִּי בָם לְעֵינֵי הַגֹּויִם רַבִּים׃
28Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind.
28וְיָדְעוּ כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם בְּהַגְלֹותִי אֹתָם אֶל־הַגֹּויִם וְכִנַּסְתִּים עַל־אַדְמָתָם וְלֹא־אֹותִיר עֹוד מֵהֶם שָׁם׃
29I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.'
29וְלֹא־אַסְתִּיר עֹוד פָּנַי מֵהֶם אֲשֶׁר שָׁפַכְתִּי אֶת־רוּחִי עַל־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃ ף
1그러므로 인자야 너는 곡에게 예언하여 이르기를 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 로스와 메섹과 두발 왕 곡아 내가 너를 대적하여
2너를 돌이켜서 이끌고 북쪽 끝에서부터 나와서 이스라엘 산 위에 이르러
3네 활을 쳐서 네 왼손에서 떨어뜨리고 네 화살을 네 오른손에서 떨어뜨리리니
4너와 네 모든 무리와 너와 함께 있는 백성이 다 이스라엘 산 위에 엎드러지리라 내가 너를 각종 사나운 새와 들짐승에게 넘겨 먹게 하리니
5네가 빈 들에 엎드러지리라 이는 내가 말하였음이니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
6내가 또 불을 마곡과 및 섬에 평안히 거주하는 자에게 내리리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라
7내가 내 거룩한 이름을 내 백성 이스라엘 가운데에 알게 하여 다시는 내 거룩한 이름을 더럽히지 아니하게 하리니 내가 여호와 곧 이스라엘의 거룩한 자인 줄을 민족들이 알리라 하라
8주 여호와의 말씀이니라 볼지어다 그 날이 와서 이루어지리니 내가 말한 그 날이 이 날이라
9이스라엘 성읍들에 거주하는 자가 나가서 그들의 무기를 불태워 사르되 큰 방패와 작은 방패와 활과 화살과 몽둥이와 창을 가지고 일곱 해 동안 불태우리라
10이같이 그 무기로 불을 피울 것이므로 그들이 들에서 나무를 주워 오지 아니하며 숲에서 벌목하지 아니하겠고 전에 자기에게서 약탈하던 자의 것을 약탈하며 전에 자기에게서 늑탈하던 자의 것을 늑탈하리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
11그 날에 내가 곡을 위하여 이스라엘 땅 곧 바다 동쪽 사람이 통행하는 골짜기를 매장지로 주리니 통행하던 길이 막힐 것이라 사람이 거기에서 곡과 그 모든 무리를 매장하고 그 이름을 하몬곡의 골짜기라 일컬으리라
12이스라엘 족속이 일곱 달 동안에 그들을 매장하여 그 땅을 정결하게 할 것이라
13그 땅 모든 백성이 그들을 매장하고 그로 말미암아 이름을 얻으리니 이는 나의 영광이 나타나는 날이니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
14그들이 사람을 택하여 그 땅에 늘 순행하며 매장할 사람과 더불어 지면에 남아 있는 시체를 매장하여 그 땅을 정결하게 할 것이라 일곱 달 후에 그들이 살펴 보되
15지나가는 사람들이 그 땅으로 지나가다가 사람의 뼈를 보면 그 곁에 푯말을 세워 매장하는 사람에게 가서 하몬곡골짜기에 매장하게 할 것이요
16성읍의 이름도 하모나라 하리라 그들이 이같이 그 땅을 정결하게 하리라
17주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 너 인자야 너는 각종 새와 들의 각종 짐승에게 이르기를 너희는 모여 오라 내가 너희를 위한 잔치 곧 이스라엘 산 위에 예비한 큰 잔치로 너희는 사방에서 모여 살을 먹으며 피를 마실지어다
18너희가 용사의 살을 먹으며 세상 왕들의 피를 마시기를 바산의 살진 짐승곧 숫양이나 어린 양이나 염소나 수송아지를 먹듯 할지라
19내가 너희를 위하여 예비한 잔치의 기름을 너희가 배불리 먹으며 그 피를 취하도록 마시되
20내 상에서 말과 기병과 용사와 모든 군사를 배부르게 먹을지니라 하라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
21내가 내 영광을 여러 민족 가운데에 나타내어 모든 민족이 내가 행한 심판과 내가 그 위에 나타낸 권능을 보게 하리니
22그 날 이후에 이스라엘 족속은 내가 여호와 자기들의 하나님인 줄을 알겠고
23여러 민족은 이스라엘 족속이 그 죄악으로 말미암아 사로잡혀 갔던 줄을 알지라 그들이 내게 범죄하였으므로 내 얼굴을 그들에게 가리고 그들을 그 원수의 손에 넘겨 다 칼에 엎드러지게 하였으되
24내가 그들의 더러움과 그들의 범죄한 대로 행하여 그들에게 내 얼굴을 가리었었느니라
25그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 이제 내 거룩한 이름을 위하여 열심을 내어 야곱의 사로잡힌 자를 돌아오게 하며 이스라엘 온 족속에게 사랑을 베풀지라
26그들이 그 땅에 평안히 거주하고 두렵게 할 자가 없게 될 때에 부끄러움을 품고 내게 범한 죄를 뉘우치리니
27내가 그들을 만민 중에서 돌아오게 하고 적국 중에서 모아 내어 많은 민족이 보는 데에서 그들로 말미암아 나의 거룩함을 나타낼 때라
28전에는 내가 그들이 사로잡혀 여러 나라에 이르게 하였거니와 후에는 내가 그들을 모아 고국 땅으로 돌아오게 하고 그 한 사람도 이방에 남기지 아니하리니 그들이 내가 여호와 자기들의 하나님인 줄을 알리라
29내가 다시는 내 얼굴을 그들에게 가리지 아니하리니 이는 내가 내 영을 이스라엘 족속에게 쏟았음이라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
