오 주 나의 하나님, 새 날의 일들을 만나기 전에
맘 가난한 경배를 드리기 위해
제가 주님 앞에 무릎을 꿇습니다.
결코 저 혼자만의 힘으로 감당하라고 저를 부르시지 않았고,
매 순간 주께서 임재하여 동행하시고
은혜로 강건케 하심을 확신하며 감사드립니다.
우리 인간의 모든 삶마다 우리를 위해 육신을 입으시고
몸소 유한한 인간의 모든 변화들을 경험하신,
우리의 주요 구주이신 예수 그리스도의 발자취로 인하여
주께 감사드립니다.
오늘 제가 일터로 나아갈 때 저를 둘러쌀
많은 영적인 실재들로 인하여 주께 감사드립니다.
하늘의 천군들로 인하여, 자기 일을 쉬고 있는 성도들로 인하여,
족장들과 선지자들과 사도들로 인하여
존귀한 순교자들로 인하여, 모든 거룩하고 겸손한 이들로 인하여,
주님의 위대하신 이름을 찬양하고 경배합니다.
오 하나님,
주께서 저를 그리스도의 교회의 일원으로 불러주신 것을 인하여 기뻐합니다.
제가 어디를 가든지 이 거룩한 교제를 의식하게 함으로
외로울 때 기운을 얻고, 사람들 틈에서 보호를 받고,
유혹에 맞서 강건해지고,
모든 정의롭고 자비로운 행위들을 행하도록 격려를 받게 하소서.
주님의 제자들로 하여금 빛으로서 어둔 세상을 비치게 하신 예수 그리스도시여,
이 세대에 세상 앞에서 주님의 교회를 대표하는 저희가 범하고 만
많은 연약함들과 잘못들을 부끄럽고 참회하는 마음으로
주님 앞에 고백합니다.
특별히 저도 마찬가지였음을 고백합니다.
이제 간구하오니, 저의 나약한 증거와 보잘것없는 자비와
메마른 열정을 용서하여 주옵소서.
오 하나님, 가난한 자들과 압제 받는 자들을 돌보셨고
질병을 치유하지 않고 그냥 지나치시거나
인간의 곤경을 보고도 도움을 외면하신 적이 없으신
예수님의 합당한 제자로 제가 살게 하여 주옵소서
오 그리스도시여, 주님의 권능이 늘 우리 안에 머물게 하시어
우리로 세상의 고난은 나눠지게 하시고,
세상의 문제들은 고쳐가게 하옵소서. 아멘.
Lord my God, I kneel before You in humble adoration before I set out to face the tasks and interests of another day. I thank You for the blessed assurance that I shall not be called upon to face them alone or in my own strength, but shall at all times be accompanied by Your presence and fortified by Your grace. I thank You that through all our human life there run the footprints of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who for our sakes was made flesh and tasted all the changes of our mortal experience. I thank You for many spiritual presences with which I shall today be surrounded as I go about my work. For the heavenly host above, for the saints who rest from their works, for patriarchs, prophets, and apostles, for the noble army of martyrs, for all holy and humble men of heart, for my own dear departed friends, especially _____ and _____, I bless and adore Your great name. I rejoice, God, that You have called me to be a member of the Church of Christ. Let the consciousness of this holy fellowship follow me wherever I go, cheering me in loneliness, protecting me in company, strengthening me against temptation and encouraging me to all just and charitable deeds.
Lord Jesus Christ, who bid Your disciples to shine as lights in a dark world, in shame and contrition of heart do I acknowledge before You the many faults and weaknesses of which we are guilty who in this generation represent Your Church before the world; and especially do I acknowledge my own part in the same. Forgive me, I ask You, the weakness of my witness, the smallness of my generosity, and the lack of my enthusiasm. Make me a more worthy follower of Him who cared for the poor and the oppressed, and who could never see disease without seeking to heal it or any kind of human need without turning aside to help.
Let Your power, O Christ, be in us all, to share the world's suffering and make right its wrongs. Amen.
나의 주가 되시는 하나님, 또 한 날의 과업을 시작하기 전에 나는 주님 앞에 겸손히 무릎을 꿇어 경배드립니다. 오늘 내가 만나는 일들을 나 홀로 내 힘만으로 하지 않게 하시고, 언제나 당신의 임재로 동행하시고 당신의 은혜로 강하게 해 주실 것을 믿는 복된 확신으로 인하여 감사를 드립니다. 우리를 위해서 몸을 입으시고 세상에 오셔서 죽을 수밖에 없는 우리 인간의 모든 변화를 친히 맛보신 우리 주 구세주 예수 그리스도의 발자국이 모든 인간의 삶에 남아 있는 것을 하나님께 감사드립니다. 오늘 나에게 주신 과업을 둘러싼 신령한 임재를 인하여 주님께 감사드립니다. 하늘의 주되신 분과 자기들의 수고를 끝맺은 성도들과 족장들과 선지자들과 사도들과 순교자의 고귀한 무리와 이 모든 거룩하고 겸비한 모든 사람들과 내가 사랑하는 나를 떠난 사람들과 특히...... 와......로 인하여 주의 위대한 이름을 찬송하고 경외합니다. 주님께서 나로 하여금 주님의 교회의 한 사람이 되도록 부르신 것을 기뻐합니다. 이 거룩한 친교의 정신이 오늘 내가 어디를 가든지 따르게 해 주시옵소서. 내가 고독을 느낄 때 기쁨을 주시고 내가 많은 무리들 중에 있을 때에 보호하시며, 모든 시험을 극복할 수 있는 힘을 주시고 정의와 자선을 행하기 위하여 나에게 용기를 주소서.
제자들을 향하여 너희들은 어두운 세상의 빛이라고 말씀하신 주 예수 그리스도시여, 오늘날 이 세대에서 주님의 교회를 대표하는 우리의 잘못된 실수와 약함을 부끄러움과 회개로 주님께 고백합니다. 특별히 나 자신이 그러하였음을 고백합니다. 주님께 간구하오니 나의 증거의 연약함과 나의 사랑의 부족과 나의 열정의 부족함을 용서하여 주소서. 모든 가난한 사람들과 억눌린 사람들을 돌아보셨으며, 병자를 보실 때는 꼭 치료하시며, 모든 도움을 청하는 사람들을 외면치 않으신 주님을 더욱 더 잘 따르게 해 주시옵소서.
주님, 우리에게 당신의 능력을 주시어 세상의 고통을 나누며 불의를 바로잡게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도하옵나이다. 아멘.
