마가복음8:1-10 [개역개정] 1. 그 무렵에 또 큰 무리가 있어 먹을 것이 없는지라 예수께서 제자들을 불러 이르시되 2. 내가 무리를 불쌍히 여기노라 그들이 나와 함께 있은 지 이미 사흘이 지났으나 먹을 것이 없도다 3. 만일 내가 그들을 굶겨 집으로 보내면 길에서 기진하리라 그 중에는 멀리서 온 사람들도 있느니라 4. 제자들이 대답하되 이 광야 어디서 떡을 얻어 이 사람들로 배부르게 할 수 있으리이까 5. 예수께서 물으시되 너희에게 떡 몇 개나 있느냐 이르되 일곱이로소이다 하거늘 6. 예수께서 무리를 명하여 땅에 앉게 하시고 떡 일곱 개를 가지사 축사하시고 떼어 제자들에게 주어 나누어 주게 하시니 제자들이 무리에게 나누어 주더라 7. 또 작은 생선 두어 마리가 있는지라 이에 축복하시고 명하사 이것도 나누어 주게 하시니 8. 배불리 먹고 남은 조각 일곱 광주리를 거두었으며 9. 사람은 약 사천 명이었더라 예수께서 그들을 흩어 보내시고 10. 곧 제자들과 함께 배에 오르사 달마누다 지방으로 가시니라 [NIV] 1. During those days another large crowd gathered. Since they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said, 2. "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. 3. If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some of them have come a long distance." 4. His disciples answered, "But where in this remote place can anyone get enough bread to feed them?" 5. "How many loaves do you have?" Jesus asked. "Seven," they replied. 6. He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When he had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people, and they did so. 7. They had a few small fish as well; he gave thanks for them also and told the disciples to distribute them. 8. The people ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 9. About four thousand men were present. And having sent them away, 10. he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha. [새번역] 1. 그 무렵에 다시 큰 무리가 모여 있었는데, 먹을 것이 없었다. 예수께서 제자들을 가까이 불러 놓고 말씀하셨다. 2. "이 빈 들에서, 어느 누가, 무슨 수로, 이 모든 사람이 먹을 빵을 장만할 수 있겠습니까?" 5. 예수께서 그들에게 물으셨다. "너희에게 빵이 몇 개나 있느냐?" 그들이 대답하였다. "일곱 개가 있습니다." 6. 예수께서는 무리에게 명하여 땅에 앉게 하셨다. 그리고 빵 일곱 개를 들어서, 감사 기도를 드리신 뒤에, 떼어서 제자들에게 주시고, 사람들에게 나누어 주게 하시니, 제자들이 무리에게 나누어 주었다. 7. 또 그들에게는 작은 물고기가 몇 마리 있었는데, 예수께서 그것을 축복하신 뒤에, 그것도 사람들에게 나누어 주게 하셨다. 8. 그리하여 사람들이 배불리 먹었으며, 남은 부스러기를 주워 모으니, 일곱 광주리에 가득 찼다. 9. 사람은 사천 명쯤이었다. 예수께서는 그들을 헤쳐 보내셨다. 10. 그리고 곧 제자들과 함께 배에 올라, 달마누다 지방으로 가셨다. I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: 3. And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. 4. And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? 5. And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. 6. And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. 7. And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them. 8. So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets. 9. And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away. 10. And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha. [현대인의성경] 1. 그 무렵 또 다른 군중이 많이 모여 들었으나 먹을 것이 없으므로 예수님은 제자들을 불러 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 2. '이 사람들이 나와 함께 있은 지가 벌써 3일이 되었는데 먹을 것이 없으니 가엾구나. 3. 이들 가운데는 먼 데서 온 사람들도 있으니 만일 굶겨 보낸다면 길에서 쓰러질 것이다.' 4. '이런 벌판에서 이 사람들을 배불리 먹일 만한 빵을 어디서 구할 수 있겠습니까?' 5. '너희에게 빵이 얼마나 있느냐?' '일곱 개 있습니다.' 6. 예수님은 군중들을 땅에 앉히시고 빵 일곱 개를 가지고 감사 기도를 드리신 다음 떼어서 제자들에게 주시며 사람들 앞에 갖다 놓게 하셨다. 7. 그들에게는 또 작은 물고기 몇 마리도 있었다. 예수님은 그것도 받아 감사 기도를 드리고 제자들을 시켜 사람들에게 나누어 주도록 하셨다. 8. 그래서 그들은 모두 실컷 먹고 남은 조각을 일곱 광주리나 거뒀으며 9. 먹은 사람은 약 4,000명이었다. 예수님은 그들을 돌려보내시고 10. 즉시 제자들과 함께 배를 타고 달마누다 지방으로 가셨다.
