1 The LORD spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron who died when they approached the LORD. 1 וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה אַחֲרֵי מֹות שְׁנֵי בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן בְּקָרְבָתָם לִפְנֵי־יְהוָה וַיָּמֻתוּ׃ 2 The LORD said to Moses: 'Tell your brother Aaron not to come whenever he chooses into the Most Holy Place behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover on the ark, or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud over the atonement cover. 2 וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה דַּבֵּר אֶל־אַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ וְאַל־יָבֹא בְכָל־עֵת אֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁ מִבֵּית לַפָּרֹכֶת אֶל־פְּנֵי הַכַּפֹּרֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל־הָאָרֹן וְלֹא יָמוּת כִּי בֶּעָןָן אֵרָאֶה עַל־הַכַּפֹּרֶת׃ 3 'This is how Aaron is to enter the sanctuary area: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. 3 בְּזֹאת יָבֹא אַהֲרֹן אֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁ בְּפַר בֶּן־בָּקָר לְחַטָּאת וְאַיִל לְעֹלָה׃ 4 He is to put on the sacred linen tunic, with linen undergarments next to his body; he is to tie the linen sash around him and put on the linen turban. These are sacred garments; so he must bathe himself with water before he puts them on. 4 כְּתֹנֶת־בַּד קֹדֶשׁ יִלְבָּשׁ וּמִכְנְסֵי־בַד יִהְיוּ עַל־בְּשָׂרֹו וּבְאַבְנֵט בַּד יַחְגֹּר וּבְמִצְנֶפֶת בַּד יִצְנֹף בִּגְדֵי־קֹדֶשׁ הֵם וְרָחַץ בַּמַּיִם אֶת־בְּשָׂרֹו וּלְבֵשָׁם׃ 5 From the Israelite community he is to take two male goats for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. 5 וּמֵאֵת עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יִקַּח שְׁנֵי־שְׂעִירֵי עִזִּים לְחַטָּאת וְאַיִל אֶחָד לְעֹלָה׃ 6 'Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household. 6 וְהִקְרִיב אַהֲרֹן אֶת־פַּר הַחַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר־לֹו וְכִפֶּר בַּעֲדֹו וּבְעַד בֵּיתֹו׃ 7 Then he is to take the two goats and present them before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 7 וְלָקַח אֶת־שְׁנֵי הַשְּׂעִירִם וְהֶעֱמִיד אֹתָם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מֹועֵד׃ 8 He is to cast lots for the two goats-one lot for the LORD and the other for the scapegoat. 8 וְנָתַן אַהֲרֹן עַל־שְׁנֵי הַשְּׂעִירִם גֹּורָלֹות גֹּורָל אֶחָד לַיהוָה וְגֹורָל אֶחָד לַעֲזָאזֵל׃ 9 Aaron shall bring the goat whose lot falls to the LORD and sacrifice it for a sin offering. 9 וְהִקְרִיב אַהֲרֹן אֶת־הַשָּׂעִיר אֲשֶׁר עָלָה עָלָיו הַגֹּורָל לַיהוָה וְעָשָׂהוּ חַטָּאת׃ 10 But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the LORD to be used for making atonement by sending it into the desert as a scapegoat. 10 וְהַשָּׂעִיר אֲשֶׁר עָלָה עָלָיו הַגֹּורָל לַעֲזָאזֵל יָעֳמַד־חַי לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לְכַפֵּר עָלָיו לְשַׁלַּח אֹתֹו לַעֲזָאזֵל הַמִּדְבָּרָה׃ 11 'Aaron shall bring the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household, and he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering. 11 וְהִקְרִיב אַהֲרֹן אֶת־פַּר הַחַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר־לֹו וְכִפֶּר בַּעֲדֹו וּבְעַד בֵּיתֹו וְשָׁחַט אֶת־פַּר הַחַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר־לֹו׃ 12 He is to take a censer full of burning coals from the altar before the LORD and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense and take them behind the curtain. 12 וְלָקַח מְלֹא־הַמַּחְתָּה גַּחֲלֵי־אֵשׁ מֵעַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ מִלִּפְנֵי יְהוָה וּמְלֹא חָפְנָיו קְטֹרֶת סַמִּים דַּקָּה וְהֵבִיא מִבֵּית לַפָּרֹכֶת׃ 13 He is to put the incense on the fire before the LORD, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover above the Testimony, so that he will not die. 13 וְנָתַן אֶת־הַקְּטֹרֶת עַל־הָאֵשׁ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וְכִסָּה עֲןַן הַקְּטֹרֶת אֶת־הַכַּפֹּרֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל־הָעֵדוּת וְלֹא יָמוּת׃ 14 He is to take some of the bull's blood and with his finger sprinkle it on the front of the atonement cover; then he shall sprinkle some of it with his finger seven times before the atonement cover. 14 וְלָקַח מִדַּם הַפָּר וְהִזָּה בְאֶצְבָּעֹו עַל־פְּנֵי הַכַּפֹּרֶת קֵדְמָה וְלִפְנֵי הַכַּפֹּרֶת יַזֶּה שֶׁבַע־פְּעָמִים מִן־הַדָּם בְּאֶצְבָּעֹו׃ 15 "He shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people and take its blood behind the curtain and do with it as he did with the bull's blood: He shall sprinkle it on the atonement cover and in front of it. 15 וְשָׁחַט אֶת־שְׂעִיר הַחַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר לָעָם וְהֵבִיא אֶת־דָּמֹו אֶל־מִבֵּית לַפָּרֹכֶת וְעָשָׂה אֶת־דָּמֹו כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לְדַם הַפָּר וְהִזָּה אֹתֹו עַל־הַכַּפֹּרֶת וְלִפְנֵי הַכַּפֹּרֶת׃ 16 In this way he will make atonement for the Most Holy Place because of the uncleanness and rebellion of the Israelites, whatever their sins have been. He is to do the same for the Tent of Meeting, which is among them in the midst of their uncleanness. 16 וְכִפֶּר עַל־הַקֹּדֶשׁ מִטֻּמְאֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּמִפִּשְׁעֵיהֶם לְכָל־חַטֹּאתָם וְכֵן יַעֲשֶׂה לְאֹהֶל מֹועֵד הַשֹּׁכֵן אִתָּם בְּתֹוךְ טֻמְאֹתָם׃ 17 No one is to be in the Tent of Meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make atonement in the Most Holy Place until he comes out, having made atonement for himself, his household and the whole community of Israel. 17 וְכָל־אָדָם לֹא־יִהְיֶה בְּאֹהֶל מֹועֵד בְּבֹאֹו לְכַפֵּר בַּקֹּדֶשׁ עַד־צֵאתֹו וְכִפֶּר בַּעֲדֹו וּבְעַד בֵּיתֹו וּבְעַד כָּל־קְהַל יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ 18 "Then he shall come out to the altar that is before the LORD and make atonement for it. He shall take some of the bull's blood and some of the goat's blood and put it on all the horns of the altar. 18 וְיָצָא אֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי־יְהוָה וְכִפֶּר עָלָיו וְלָקַח מִדַּם הַפָּר וּמִדַּם הַשָּׂעִיר וְנָתַן עַל־קַרְנֹות הַמִּזְבֵּחַ סָבִיב׃ 19 He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times to cleanse it and to consecrate it from the uncleanness of the Israelites. 19 וְהִזָּה עָלָיו מִן־הַדָּם בְּאֶצְבָּעֹו שֶׁבַע פְּעָמִים וְטִהֲרֹו וְקִדְּשֹׁו מִטֻּמְאֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ 20 'When Aaron has finished making atonement for the Most Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting and the altar, he shall bring forward the live goat. 20 וְכִלָּה מִכַּפֵּר אֶת־הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְאֶת־אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וְאֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְהִקְרִיב אֶת־הַשָּׂעִיר הֶחָי׃ 21 He is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the wickedness and rebellion of the Israelites-all their sins-and put them on the goat's head. He shall send the goat away into the desert in the care of a man appointed for the task. 21 וְסָמַךְ אַהֲרֹן אֶת־שְׁתֵּי [כ= יָדֹו] [ק= יָדָיו] עַל רֹאשׁ הַשָּׂעִיר הַחַי וְהִתְוַדָּה עָלָיו אֶת־כָּל־עֲוֹנֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאֶת־כָּל־פִּשְׁעֵיהֶם לְכָל־חַטֹּאתָם וְנָתַן אֹתָם עַל־רֹאשׁ הַשָּׂעִיר וְשִׁלַּח בְּיַד־אִישׁ עִתִּי הַמִּדְבָּרָה׃ 22 The goat will carry on itself all their sins to a solitary place; and the man shall release it in the desert. 22 וְנָשָׂא הַשָּׂעִיר עָלָיו אֶת־כָּל־עֲוֹנֹתָם אֶל־אֶרֶץ גְּזֵרָה וְשִׁלַּח אֶת־הַשָּׂעִיר בַּמִּדְבָּר׃ 23 'Then Aaron is to go into the Tent of Meeting and take off the linen garments he put on before he entered the Most Holy Place, and he is to leave them there. 23 וּבָא אַהֲרֹן אֶל־אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וּפָשַׁט אֶת־בִּגְדֵי הַבָּד אֲשֶׁר לָבַשׁ בְּבֹאֹו אֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְהִנִּיחָם שָׁם׃ 24 He shall bathe himself with water in a holy place and put on his regular garments. Then he shall come out and sacrifice the burnt offering for himself and the burnt offering for the people, to make atonement for himself and for the people. 24 וְרָחַץ אֶת־בְּשָׂרֹו בַמַּיִם בְּמָקֹום קָדֹושׁ וְלָבַשׁ אֶת־בְּגָדָיו וְיָצָא וְעָשָׂה אֶת־עֹלָתֹו וְאֶת־עֹלַת הָעָם וְכִפֶּר בַּעֲדֹו וּבְעַד הָעָם׃ 25 He shall also burn the fat of the sin offering on the altar. 25 וְאֵת חֵלֶב הַחַטָּאת יַקְטִיר הַמִּזְבֵּחָה׃ 26 'The man who releases the goat as a scapegoat must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp. 26 וְהַמְשַׁלֵּחַ אֶת־הַשָּׂעִיר לַעֲזָאזֵל יְכַבֵּס בְּגָדָיו וְרָחַץ אֶת־בְּשָׂרֹו בַּמָּיִם וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן יָבֹוא אֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶה׃ 27 The bull and the goat for the sin offerings, whose blood was brought into the Most Holy Place to make atonement, must be taken outside the camp; their hides, flesh and offal are to be burned up. 27 וְאֵת פַּר הַחַטָּאת וְאֵת שְׂעִיר הַחַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר הוּבָא אֶת־דָּםָם לְכַפֵּר בַּקֹּדֶשׁ יֹוצִיא אֶל־מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה וְשָׂרְפוּ בָאֵשׁ אֶת־עֹרֹתָם וְאֶת־בְּשָׂרָם וְאֶת־פִּרְשָׁם׃ 28 The man who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp. 28 וְהַשֹּׂרֵף אֹתָם יְכַבֵּס בְּגָדָיו וְרָחַץ אֶת־בְּשָׂרֹו בַּמָּיִם וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן יָבֹוא אֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶה׃ 29 'This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves and not do any work-whether native-born or an alien living among you- 29 וְהָיְתָה לָכֶם לְחֻקַּת עֹולָם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי בֶּעָשֹׂור לַחֹדֶשׁ תְּעַנּוּ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם וְכָל־מְלָאכָה לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ הָאֶזְרָח וְהַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתֹוכְכֶם׃ 30 because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the LORD, you will be clean from all your sins. 30 כִּי־בַיֹּום הַזֶּה יְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיכֶם לְטַהֵר אֶתְכֶם מִכֹּל חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה תִּטְהָרוּ׃ 31 It is a sabbath of rest, and you must deny yourselves; it is a lasting ordinance. 31 שַׁבַּת שַׁבָּתֹון הִיא לָכֶם וְעִנִּיתֶם אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם חֻקַּת עֹולָם׃ 32 The priest who is anointed and ordained to succeed his father as high priest is to make atonement. He is to put on the sacred linen garments 32 וְכִפֶּר הַכֹּהֵן אֲשֶׁר־יִמְשַׁח אֹתֹו וַאֲשֶׁר יְמַלֵּא אֶת־יָדֹו לְכַהֵן תַּחַת אָבִיו וְלָבַשׁ אֶת־בִּגְדֵי הַבָּד בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃ 33 and make atonement for the Most Holy Place, for the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and for the priests and all the people of the community. 33 וְכִפֶּר אֶת־מִקְדַּשׁ הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְאֶת־אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וְאֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ יְכַפֵּר וְעַל הַכֹּהֲנִים וְעַל־כָּל־עַם הַקָּהָל יְכַפֵּר׃ 34 'This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites.' And it was done, as the LORD commanded Moses. 34 וְהָיְתָה־זֹּאת לָכֶם לְחֻקַּת עֹולָם לְכַפֵּר עַל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכָּל־חַטֹּאתָם אַחַת בַּשָּׁנָה וַיַּעַשׂ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ף 1. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 2. "너는 이스라엘 자손에게 명하여, 올리브를 찧어서 짜낸 깨끗한 기름을 가져다가 등불을 켜게 하되, 그 등불을 늘 켜 두어라. 3. 아론을 시켜 회막 안 증거궤 앞에 쳐 있는 휘장 바깥에 그 등불을 켜 두어, 저녁부터 아침까지 주 앞에 계속 켜 두게 하여라. 이것은 너희가 대대로 길이 지켜야 할 규례이다. 4. 아론은 주 앞에서, 순금 등잔대 위에 그 등불을 늘 켜 두어야 한다." 5. "너는 고운 밀가루를 가져다가, 과자 한 개당 밀가루 십분의 이 에바를 들여, 과자 열두 개를 구워, 6. 한 줄에 여섯 개씩 두 줄로, 주의 앞, 순금 상 위에 차려 놓아라. 7. 그리고 각 줄에 하나씩 순전한 향을 얹어라. 이 향은 과자 전부를 바치는 정성의 표시로 주에게 살라 바치는 제물이 된다. 8. 안식일이 올 때마다, 아론은 이스라엘 자손을 대신하여, 이 음식을 주 앞에 늘 차려 놓아야 한다. 이것은 영원한 언약이다. 9. 이 제물은 아론과 그의 아들들의 몫이다. 이것은 주에게 살라 바치는 제물 가운데서도 가장 거룩한 것인 만큼, 그들은 이것을 거룩한 곳에서 먹어야 한다. 이것은 그들이 길이 지켜야 할 규례이다." 10. 이스라엘 자손 가운데 한 아들이 있었는데, 그의 어머니는 이스라엘 사람이고, 아버지는 이집트 사람이다. 이스라엘 여자에게서 난 그 아들이, 한번은 진에서 어떤 이스라엘 남자와 싸웠다. 11. 이스라엘 여자에게서 난 아들이 주님의 이름을 모독하면서 저주하는 말을 하였다. 그래서 사람들은 그를 끌고 모세에게로 왔다. 그의 어머니 이름은 슬로밋인데, 단 지파에 속하는 디브리라는 사람의 딸이다. 12. 사람들은 그를 가두어 놓고, 주님의 뜻이 그들에게 밝혀질 때까지 기다렸다. 13. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 14. "나 주를 저주하는 말을 한 그를 너는 진 바깥으로 끌어내라. 나에게 저주하는 말을 들은 사람들이 모두 그자의 머리 위에 손을 얹은 다음에, 온 회중은 그를 돌로 쳐라. 15. 그리고 너는 이스라엘 자손에게, 하나님을 저주하는 사람은 누구든지 그 벌을 면하지 못한다고 일러라. 16. 주의 이름을 모독하는 사람은 반드시 사형에 처해야 한다. 온 회중이 그를 돌로 쳐죽여야 한다. 주의 이름을 모독하는 사람은 이스라엘 사람은 말할 것도 없고 외국 사람이라 하여도 절대로 살려 두어서는 안 된다." 17. "남을 죽인 사람은 반드시 사형에 처해야 한다. 18. 짐승을 죽인 사람은, 생명으로 생명을 갚아야 하므로, 살아 있는 것으로 물어주어야 한다. 19. 자기 이웃에게 상처를 입혔으면, 피해자는 가해자가 입힌 만큼 그 가해자에게 상처를 입혀라. 20. 부러뜨린 것은 부러뜨린 것으로, 눈은 눈으로, 이는 이로 갚아라. 상처를 입힌 사람은 자기도 그만큼 상처를 받아야 한다. 21. 남의 짐승을 죽인 사람은 그것을 물어주어야 하고, 사람을 죽인 사람은 반드시 사형에 처해야 한다. 22. 이 법은 이스라엘 사람에게는 말할 것도 없고, 함께 사는 외국 사람에게도 같이 적용된다. 나는 주 너희의 하나님이다." 23. 모세가 이렇게 이스라엘 자손에게 말을 전하니, 사람들은 주님을 저주한 그를 진 바깥으로 끌어내서, 돌로 쳐죽였다. 이렇게 이스라엘 자손은 주님께서 모세에게 명하신 그대로 하였다.
