1The LORD spoke to Moses in the Desert of Sinai in the first month of the second year after they came out of Egypt. He said,
1וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה בְמִדְבַּר־סִינַי בַּשָּׁנָה הַשֵּׁנִית לְצֵאתָם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשֹׁון לֵאמֹר׃
2'Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover at the appointed time.
2וְיַעֲשׂוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־הַפָּסַח בְּמֹועֲדֹו׃
3Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with all its rules and regulations.'
3בְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר־יֹום בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַזֶּה בֵּין הָעֲרְבַּיִם תַּעֲשׂוּ אֹתֹו בְּמֹועֲדֹו כְּכָל־חֻקֹּתָיו וּכְכָל־מִשְׁפָּטָיו תַּעֲשׂוּ אֹתֹו׃
4So Moses told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover,
4וַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲשֹׂת הַפָּסַח׃
5and they did so in the Desert of Sinai at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.
5וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת־הַפֶּסַח בָּרִאשֹׁון בְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר יֹום לַחֹדֶשׁ בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם בְּמִדְבַּר סִינָי כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה כֵּן עָשׂוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
6But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day
6וַיְהִי אֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר הָיוּ טְמֵאִים לְנֶפֶשׁ אָדָם וְלֹא־יָכְלוּ לַעֲשֹׂת־הַפֶּסַח בַּיֹּום הַהוּא וַיִּקְרְבוּ לִפְנֵי מֹשֶׁה וְלִפְנֵי אַהֲרֹן בַּיֹּום הַהוּא׃
7and said to Moses, "We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the LORD's offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?"
7וַיֹּאמְרוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים הָהֵמָּה אֵלָיו אֲנַחְנוּ טְמֵאִים לְנֶפֶשׁ אָדָם לָמָּה נִגָּרַע לְבִלְתִּי הַקְרִב אֶת־קָרְבַּן יְהוָה בְּמֹעֲדֹו בְּתֹוךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
8Moses answered them, 'Wait until I find out what the LORD commands concerning you.'
8וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם מֹשֶׁה עִמְדוּ וְאֶשְׁמְעָה מַה־יְצַוֶּה יְהוָה לָכֶם׃ ף
9Then the LORD said to Moses,
9וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃
10"Tell the Israelites: 'When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body or are away on a journey, they may still celebrate the LORD's Passover.
10דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר אִישׁ אִישׁ כִּי־יִהְיֶה־טָמֵא לָנֶפֶשׁ אֹו בְדֶרֶךְ רְחֹקָה לָכֶם אֹו לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם וְעָשָׂה פֶסַח לַיהוָה׃
11They are to celebrate it on the fourteenth day of the second month at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
11בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי בְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר יֹום בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם יַעֲשׂוּ אֹתֹו עַל־מַצֹּות וּמְרֹרִים יֹאכְלֻהוּ׃
12They must not leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones. When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations.
12לֹא־יַשְׁאִירוּ מִמֶּנּוּ עַד־בֹּקֶר וְעֶצֶם לֹא יִשְׁבְּרוּ־בֹו כְּכָל־חֻקַּת הַפֶּסַח יַעֲשׂוּ אֹתֹו׃
13But if a man who is ceremonially clean and not on a journey fails to celebrate the Passover, that person must be cut off from his people because he did not present the LORD's offering at the appointed time. That man will bear the consequences of his sin.
13וְהָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר־הוּא טָהֹור וּבְדֶרֶךְ לֹא־הָיָה וְחָדַל לַעֲשֹׂות הַפֶּסַח וְנִכְרְתָה הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַהִוא מֵעַמֶּיהָ כִּי קָרְבַּן יְהוָה לֹא הִקְרִיב בְּמֹעֲדֹו חֶטְאֹו יִשָּׂא הָאִישׁ הַהוּא׃
14" 'An alien living among you who wants to celebrate the LORD's Passover must do so in accordance with its rules and regulations. You must have the same regulations for the alien and the native-born.' "
14וְכִי־יָגוּר אִתְּכֶם גֵּר וְעָשָׂה פֶסַח לַיהוָה כְּחֻקַּת הַפֶּסַח וּכְמִשְׁפָּטֹו כֵּן יַעֲשֶׂה חֻקָּה אַחַת יִהְיֶה לָכֶם וְלַגֵּר וּלְאֶזְרַח הָאָרֶץ׃ ף
15On the day the tabernacle, the Tent of the Testimony, was set up, the cloud covered it. From evening till morning the cloud above the tabernacle looked like fire.
15וּבְיֹום הָקִים אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן כִּסָּה הֶעָןָן אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן לְאֹהֶל הָעֵדֻת וּבָעֶרֶב יִהְיֶה עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן כְּמַרְאֵה־אֵשׁ עַד־בֹּקֶר׃
16That is how it continued to be; the cloud covered it, and at night it looked like fire.
16כֵּן יִהְיֶה תָמִיד הֶעָןָן יְכַסֶּנּוּ וּמַרְאֵה־אֵשׁ לָיְלָה׃
17Whenever the cloud lifted from above the Tent, the Israelites set out; wherever the cloud settled, the Israelites encamped.
17וּלְפִי הֵעָלֹת הֶעָןָן מֵעַל הָאֹהֶל וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן יִסְעוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבִמְקֹום אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכָּן־שָׁם הֶעָןָן שָׁם יַחֲנוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
18At the LORD's command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained in camp.
18עַל־פִּי יְהוָה יִסְעוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְעַל־פִּי יְהוָה יַחֲנוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכֹּן הֶעָןָן עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן יַחֲנוּ׃
19When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the LORD's order and did not set out.
19וּבְהַאֲרִיךְ הֶעָןָן עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן יָמִים רַבִּים וְשָׁמְרוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶת יְהוָה וְלֹא יִסָּעוּ׃
20Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the LORD's command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out.
20וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה הֶעָןָן יָמִים מִסְפָּר עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן עַל־פִּי יְהוָה יַחֲנוּ וְעַל־פִּי יְהוָה יִסָּעוּ׃
21Sometimes the cloud stayed only from evening till morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they set out. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud lifted, they set out.
21וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר־יִהְיֶה הֶעָןָן מֵעֶרֶב עַד־בֹּקֶר וְנַעֲלָה הֶעָןָן בַּבֹּקֶר וְנָסָעוּ אֹו יֹוםָם וָלַיְלָה וְנַעֲלָה הֶעָןָן וְנָסָעוּ׃
22Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out.
22אֹו־יֹמַיִם אֹו־חֹדֶשׁ אֹו־יָמִים בְּהַאֲרִיךְ הֶעָןָן עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן לִשְׁכֹּן עָלָיו יַחֲנוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא יִסָּעוּ וּבְהֵעָלֹתֹו יִסָּעוּ׃
23At the LORD's command they encamped, and at the LORD's command they set out. They obeyed the LORD's order, in accordance with his command through Moses.
23עַל־פִּי יְהוָה יַחֲנוּ וְעַל־פִּי יְהוָה יִסָּעוּ אֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶת יְהוָה שָׁמָרוּ עַל־פִּי יְהוָה בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה׃ ף
1여호와께서 시내 광야에서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다. 여호와께서 말씀하신 때는 이스라엘 백성이 이집트에서 나온 지 이 년째 되는 해의 첫째 달이었습니다.
2"이스라엘 백성에게 정해진 때에 유월절을 지키라고 전하여라.
3유월절을 지켜야 할 때는 이 달 십사 일 해질 무렵이다. 이스라엘 백성은 유월절에 관한 모든 규례를 지켜라."
4그리하여 모세는 이스라엘 백성에게 유월절을 지키라는 말씀을 전했습니다.
5이스라엘 백성은 첫째 달 십사 일 해질 무렵에, 시내 광야에서 유월절을 지켰습니다. 이스라엘 백성은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 그대로 했습니다.
6그러나 그 날 유월절을 지킬 수 없는 사람들이 있었습니다. 그들은 시체를 만져서 부정해진 사람들입니다. 그들은 그 날 모세와 아론에게 갔습니다.
7그들이 모세에게 말했습니다. "우리는 시체를 만졌으므로 부정합니다. 그렇지만 이 정해진 때에 우리도 여호와께 예물을 드려야 하지 않겠습니까? 우리도 다른 이스라엘 백성처럼 예물을 드리고 싶습니다."
8모세가 그들에게 말했습니다. "기다리시오. 여호와께서 여러분에게 무엇이라고 말씀하실지 알아봐야겠소."
9그 때에 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다.
10"이스라엘 백성에게 전하여라. '너희나 너희 자손은 시체를 만져서 부정해졌거나, 먼길을 떠나 있을 때라도 여호와의 유월절을 지켜야 한다.
11그러한 사람은 유월절을 지키되 둘째 달 십사 일 해질 무렵에 지켜라. 그 때에는 쓴 나물과 누룩을 넣지 않은 빵을 어린 양고기와 함께 먹어라.
12먹던 것을 다음날 아침까지 남기지 말고, 양의 뼈를 부러뜨리지도 마라. 유월절을 지킬 때에는 이 모든 규례를 지켜라.
13부정하지도 않고 먼길을 떠나지도 않은 사람은 유월절을 지켜라. 만약 지키지 않으면, 그는 백성에게서 끊어질 것이다. 그는 정해진 때에 여호와께 제물을 바치지 않았으므로 죄값을 받을 것이다.
14너희 가운데 사는 외국인도 여호와의 유월절을 지킬 수 있으니, 그가 유월절을 지킬 때에는 모든 규례를 따르게 하여라. 너희가 지키는 규례를 외국인도 똑같이 지키게 하여라.'"
15주님의 장막인 성막을 세우던 날, 구름이 그 장막, 곧 언약의 성막을 덮었습니다. 저녁부터 새벽까지 장막 위의 구름은 불처럼 보였습니다.
16항상 구름은 성막 위에 머물렀으며, 밤이 되면 그 구름은 불처럼 보였습니다.
17구름이 성막 위에서 걷혀 올라가면, 이스라엘 백성도 길을 떠났습니다. 그러다가 구름이 멈추면, 이스라엘 백성도 그 곳에 진을 쳤습니다.
18이스라엘 백성은 여호와의 명령에 따라 길을 떠났다가 여호와의 명령에 따라 진을 쳤습니다. 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있는 동안에는 이스라엘 백성도 진에 머물러 있었습니다.
19성막 위의 구름이 오랫동안 머물러 있을 때는, 이스라엘 백성도 여호와의 명령대로 이동하지 않았습니다.
20어떤 때에는 성막 위의 구름이 며칠 동안만 머물기도 했습니다. 이스라엘 백성은 여호와의 명령에 따라 길을 떠났고, 여호와의 명령에 따라 진을 쳤습니다.
21어떤 때에는 성막 위의 구름이 저녁부터 아침까지만 머물기도 했습니다. 이튿날 아침에 구름이 걷히면, 백성도 길을 떠났습니다. 밤이든 낮이든 구름이 걷히면, 백성도 길을 떠났습니다.
22성막 위의 구름은 이틀을 머물기도 하고, 한 달을 머물기도 하고, 일 년을 머물기도 했습니다. 구름이 머물러 있는 동안에 이스라엘 백성은 진을 치고 있었습니다. 그러나 구름이 걷히면, 백성도 길을 떠났습니다.
23이스라엘 백성은 여호와의 명령에 따라 진을 쳤다가, 여호와의 명령에 따라 길을 떠났습니다. 그들은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 했습니다.
