1The LORD said to Moses, |
1וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃ |
|
2"Speak to Aaron and say to him, 'When you set up the seven lamps, they are to light the area in front of the lampstand.' " |
2דַּבֵּר אֶל־אַהֲרֹן וְאָמַרְתָּ אֵלָיו בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ אֶת־הַנֵּרֹת אֶל־מוּל פְּנֵי הַמְּנֹורָה יָאִירוּ שִׁבְעַת הַנֵּרֹות׃ |

3Aaron did so; he set up the lamps so that they faced forward on the lampstand, just as the LORD commanded Moses. |
3וַיַּעַשׂ כֵּן אַהֲרֹן אֶל־מוּל פְּנֵי הַמְּנֹורָה הֶעֱלָה נֵרֹתֶיהָ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ |

4This is how the lampstand was made: It was made of hammered gold-from its base to its blossoms. The lampstand was made exactly like the pattern the LORD had shown Moses. |
4וְזֶה מַעֲשֵׂה הַמְּנֹרָה מִקְשָׁה זָהָב עַד־יְרֵכָהּ עַד־פִּרְחָהּ מִקְשָׁה הִוא כַּמַּרְאֶה אֲשֶׁר הֶרְאָה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה כֵּן עָשָׂה אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה׃ ף |
|
5The LORD said to Moses: |
5וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃ |
|
6'Take the Levites from among the other Israelites and make them ceremonially clean. |
6קַח אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם מִתֹּוךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְטִהַרְתָּ אֹתָם׃ |
|
7To purify them, do this: Sprinkle the water of cleansing on them; then have them shave their whole bodies and wash their clothes, and so purify themselves. |
7וְכֹה־תַעֲשֶׂה לָהֶם לְטַהֲרָם הַזֵּה עֲלֵיהֶם מֵי חַטָּאת וְהֶעֱבִירוּ תַעַר עַל־כָּל־בְּשָׂרָם וְכִבְּסוּ בִגְדֵיהֶם וְהִטֶּהָרוּ׃ |
|
8Have them take a young bull with its grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil; then you are to take a second young bull for a sin offering. |
8וְלָקְחוּ פַּר בֶּן־בָּקָר וּמִנְחָתֹו סֹלֶת בְּלוּלָה בַשָּׁמֶן וּפַר־שֵׁנִי בֶן־בָּקָר תִּקַּח לְחַטָּאת׃ |
|
9Bring the Levites to the front of the Tent of Meeting and assemble the whole Israelite community. |
9וְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וְהִקְהַלְתָּ אֶת־כָּל־עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
|
10You are to bring the Levites before the LORD, and the Israelites are to lay their hands on them. |
10וְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וְסָמְכוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־יְדֵיהֶם עַל־הַלְוִיִּם׃ |

11Aaron is to present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the Israelites, so that they may be ready to do the work of the LORD. |
11וְהֵנִיף אַהֲרֹן אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם תְּנוּפָה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהָיוּ לַעֲבֹד אֶת־עֲבֹדַת יְהוָה׃ |
|
12'After the Levites lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, use the one for a sin offering to the LORD and the other for a burnt offering, to make atonement for the Levites. |
12וְהַלְוִיִּם יִסְמְכוּ אֶת־יְדֵיהֶם עַל רֹאשׁ הַפָּרִים וַעֲשֵׂה אֶת־הָאֶחָד חַטָּאת וְאֶת־הָאֶחָד עֹלָה לַיהוָה לְכַפֵּר עַל־הַלְוִיִּם׃ |
|
13Have the Levites stand in front of Aaron and his sons and then present them as a wave offering to the LORD. |
13וְהַעֲמַדְתָּ אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי אַהֲרֹן וְלִפְנֵי בָנָיו וְהֵנַפְתָּ אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה לַיהוָה׃ |
|
14In this way you are to set the Levites apart from the other Israelites, and the Levites will be mine. |
14וְהִבְדַּלְתָּ אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם מִתֹּוךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהָיוּ לִי הַלְוִיִּם׃ |
|
15'After you have purified the Levites and presented them as a wave offering, they are to come to do their work at the Tent of Meeting. |
15וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן יָבֹאוּ הַלְוִיִּם לַעֲבֹד אֶת־אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וְטִהַרְתָּ אֹתָם וְהֵנַפְתָּ אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה׃ |
|
16They are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to me. I have taken them as my own in place of the firstborn, the first male offspring from every Israelite woman. |
16כִּי נְתֻנִים נְתֻנִים הֵמָּה לִי מִתֹּוךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תַּחַת פִּטְרַת כָּל־רֶחֶם בְּכֹור כֹּל מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָקַחְתִּי אֹתָם לִי׃ |
|
17Every firstborn male in Israel, whether man or animal, is mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set them apart for myself. |
17כִּי לִי כָל־בְּכֹור בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּאָדָם וּבַבְּהֵמָה בְּיֹום הַכֹּתִי כָל־בְּכֹור בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם הִקְדַּשְׁתִּי אֹתָם לִי׃ |
|
18And I have taken the Levites in place of all the firstborn sons in Israel. |
18וָאֶקַּח אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם תַּחַת כָּל־בְּכֹור בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
|
19Of all the Israelites, I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and his sons to do the work at the Tent of Meeting on behalf of the Israelites and to make atonement for them so that no plague will strike the Israelites when they go near the sanctuary.' |
19וָאֶתְּנָה אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם נְתֻנִים לְאַהֲרֹן וּלְבָנָיו מִתֹּוךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲבֹד אֶת־עֲבֹדַת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּאֹהֶל מֹועֵד וּלְכַפֵּר עַל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא יִהְיֶה בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל נֶגֶף בְּגֶשֶׁת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃ |

20Moses, Aaron and the whole Israelite community did with the Levites just as the LORD commanded Moses. |
20וַיַּעַשׂ מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן וְכָל־עֲדַת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל לַלְוִיִּם כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה לַלְוִיִּם כֵּן־עָשׂוּ לָהֶם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
|
21The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes. Then Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the LORD and made atonement for them to purify them. |
21וַיִּתְחַטְּאוּ הַלְוִיִּם וַיְכַבְּסוּ בִּגְדֵיהֶם וַיָּנֶף אַהֲרֹן אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וַיְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיהֶם אַהֲרֹן לְטַהֲרָם׃ |
|
22After that, the Levites came to do their work at the Tent of Meeting under the supervision of Aaron and his sons. They did with the Levites just as the LORD commanded Moses. |
22וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן בָּאוּ הַלְוִיִּם לַעֲבֹד אֶת־עֲבֹדָתָם בְּאֹהֶל מֹועֵד לִפְנֵי אַהֲרֹן וְלִפְנֵי בָנָיו כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה עַל־הַלְוִיִּם כֵּן עָשׂוּ לָהֶם׃ ס |
|
23The LORD said to Moses, |
23וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃ |
|
24'This applies to the Levites: Men twenty-five years old or more shall come to take part in the work at the Tent of Meeting, |
24זֹאת אֲשֶׁר לַלְוִיִּם מִבֶּן חָמֵשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה יָבֹוא לִצְבֹא צָבָא בַּעֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מֹועֵד׃ |
|
25but at the age of fifty, they must retire from their regular service and work no longer. |
25וּמִבֶּן חֲמִשִּׁים שָׁנָה יָשׁוּב מִצְּבָא הָעֲבֹדָה וְלֹא יַעֲבֹד עֹוד׃ |
|
26They may assist their brothers in performing their duties at the Tent of Meeting, but they themselves must not do the work. This, then, is how you are to assign the responsibilities of the Levites.' |
26וְשֵׁרֵת אֶת־אֶחָיו בְּאֹהֶל מֹועֵד לִשְׁמֹר מִשְׁמֶרֶת וַעֲבֹדָה לֹא יַעֲבֹד כָּכָה תַּעֲשֶׂה לַלְוִיִּם בְּמִשְׁמְרֹתָם׃ ף |
1여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다.
2"아론에게 전하여라. 그에게 등잔대 앞을 밝힐 수 있도록 등잔 일곱 개를 놓아 두라고 말하여라."
3아론은 그대로 했습니다. 아론은 등잔대 앞을 밝힐 수 있도록 등잔 일곱 개를 놓아 두었습니다. 아론은 여호와께서 모세에게 주신 명령에 복종했습니다.
4등잔대는 여호와께서 모세에게 보여 주신 형식을 따라서 밑받침에서 꽃 모양까지 모두 금을 두드려서 만들었습니다.
5여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다.
6"이스라엘 백성 가운데서 레위 사람을 데려다가 정결하게 하여라.
7그들을 정결하게 하는 방법은 이러하다. 정결하게 하는 물을 그들에게 뿌려라. 온몸의 털을 밀고 옷을 빨게 하여라. 그러면 그들은 정결하게 될 것이다.
8그들에게 수송아지 한 마리를 가져오게 하고, 그것과 함께 바칠 곡식 제물도 가져오게 하여라. 곡식 제물은 기름을 섞은 고운 가루로 하여라. 그리고 너는 다른 수송아지 한 마리를 가져와서 죄를 씻는 제물인 속죄 제물로 바쳐라.
9레위 사람을 회막 앞으로 데려가고 모든 이스라엘 무리를 모아라.
10레위 사람을 여호와 앞으로 데려가거라. 그리고 이스라엘 백성이 그들에게 손을 얹게 하여라.
11아론은 레위 사람을 여호와 앞에 흔들어 바치는 요제로 드려라. 레위 사람을 이스라엘 백성이 바치는 제물로 여겨 여호와 앞에 드려라. 이는 레위 사람이 여호와의 일을 할 수 있도록 하기 위함이다.
12너는 레위 사람이 수송아지의 머리에 손을 얹게 한 후, 이것을 여호와께 바쳐라. 한 마리는 여호와께 바치는 죄를 씻는 제물인 속죄 제물이고, 다른 한 마리는 태워 드리는 제물인 번제물이다. 이것을 바쳐 레위 사람의 죄를 씻는 예식을 행하여라.
13레위 사람을 아론과 그의 아들들 앞에 세워라. 그리고 레위 사람을 여호와께 흔들어 바치는 요제로 드려라.
14이렇게 하여 너는 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 레위 사람을 구별하여라. 레위 사람은 내 것이라.
15이처럼 레위 사람을 정결하게 한 뒤 그들을 제물로 드려라. 그래야 그들이 회막에 와서 일할 수 있을 것이다.
16그들은 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 나에게 바쳐진 사람이다. 나는 그들을 이스라엘의 모든 여자가 낳은 맏아들을 대신해서 내 것으로 삼았도다.
17사람이든 짐승이든 이스라엘에서 처음 태어난 것은 다 내 것이니, 나는 이집트 땅의 처음 태어난 것을 다 죽이던 날에 그들을 거룩히 구별했다.
18나는 이스라엘의 모든 맏아들을 대신해서 레위 사람을 내 것으로 삼았고,
19레위 사람을 모든 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 뽑았다. 그리고 그들을 아론과 그의 아들들에게 주었다. 그들은 회막에서 모든 이스라엘 백성의 일을 맡아 볼 것이다. 그들은 이스라엘 백성의 죄를 씻는 예식들을 도울 것이다. 그러면 이스라엘 백성이 성소에 가까이 오더라도, 그들에게 재앙이 내리는 일은 없을 것이다."
20모세와 아론과 모든 이스라엘 백성은 여호와의 말에 순종했습니다. 그들은 레위 사람에 대하여 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 했습니다.
21레위 사람은 스스로 정결하게 하고 옷을 빨았습니다. 그러자 아론이 그들을 여호와께 흔들어 바치는 제사인 요제로 드렸습니다. 아론은 또 그들의 죄를 씻는 예식을 행하여 그들을 정결하게 했습니다.
22그런 다음에 레위 사람은 회막으로 와서 일했습니다. 아론과 그의 아들들은 그들에게 해야 할 일을 가르쳐 주었습니다. 그들은 레위 사람에 대하여 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 했습니다.
23여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다.
24"이것은 레위 사람을 위한 명령이다. 스물다섯 살 이상 된 모든 남자는 회막으로 나아오게 하여라. 그들을 모두 회막에서 일하게 하고,
25쉰 살이 되면 하던 일을 그만두게 하여라. 더 일하지 않아도 된다. 그 때부터는
26회막에서 다른 레위 사람을 도와 줄 수는 있으나, 그 일을 대신하지는 못한다. 너는 이렇게 레위 사람에게 해야 할 일을 맡겨라."
