1The descendants of Judah: Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur and Shobal.	1בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה פֶּרֶץ חֶצְרֹון וְכַרְמִי וְחוּר וְשֹׁובָל׃
2Reaiah son of Shobal was the father of Jahath, and Jahath the father of Ahumai and Lahad. These were the clans of the Zorathites.	2וּרְאָיָה בֶן־שֹׁובָל הֹולִיד אֶת־יַחַת וְיַחַת הֹלִיד אֶת־אֲחוּמַי וְאֶת־לָהַד אֵלֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹות הַצָּרְעָתִי׃ ס
3These were the sons of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma and Idbash. Their sister was named Hazzelelponi.	3וְאֵלֶּה אֲבִי עֵיטָם יִזְרְעֶאל וְיִשְׁמָא וְיִדְבָּשׁ וְשֵׁם אֲחֹותָם הַצְלֶלְפֹּונִי׃
4Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These were the descendants of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah and father of Bethlehem.	4וּפְנוּאֵל אֲבִי גְדֹר וְעֵזֶר אֲבִי חוּשָׁה אֵלֶּה בְנֵי־חוּר בְּכֹור אֶפְרָתָה אֲבִי בֵּית לָחֶם׃
5Ashhur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.	5וּלְאַשְׁחוּר אֲבִי תְקֹועַ הָיוּ שְׁתֵּי נָשִׁים חֶלְאָה וְנַעֲרָה׃
6Naarah bore him Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni and Haahashtari. These were the descendants of Naarah.	6וַתֵּלֶד לֹו נַעֲרָה אֶת־אֲחֻזָּם וְאֶת־חֵפֶר וְאֶת־תֵּימְנִי וְאֶת־הָאֲחַשְׁתָּרִי אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי נַעֲרָה׃
7The sons of Helah: Zereth, Zohar, Ethnan,	7וּבְנֵי חֶלְאָה צֶרֶת [כ= יִצְחָר] [ק= וְצֹחַר] וְאֶתְןָן׃
8and Koz, who was the father of Anub and Hazzobebah and of the clans of Aharhel son of Harum.	8וְקֹוץ הֹולִיד אֶת־עָנוּב וְאֶת־הַצֹּבֵבָה וּמִשְׁפְּחֹות אֲחַרְחֵל בֶּן־הָרוּם׃
9Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, 'I gave birth to him in pain.'	9וַיְהִי יַעְבֵּץ נִכְבָּד מֵאֶחָיו וְאִמֹּו קָרְאָה שְׁמֹו יַעְבֵּץ לֵאמֹר כִּי יָלַדְתִּי בְּעֹצֶב׃
10Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, 'Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.' And God granted his request.	10וַיִּקְרָא יַעְבֵּץ לֵאלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר אִם־בָּרֵךְ תְּבָרֲכֵנִי וְהִרְבִּיתָ אֶת־גְּבוּלִי וְהָיְתָה יָדְךָ עִמִּי וְעָשִׂיתָ מֵּרָעָה לְבִלְתִּי עָצְבִּי וַיָּבֵא אֱלֹהִים אֵת אֲשֶׁר־שָׁאָל׃
11Kelub, Shuhah's brother, was the father of Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.	11וּכְלוּב אֲחִי־שׁוּחָה הֹולִיד אֶת־מְחִיר הוּא אֲבִי אֶשְׁתֹּון׃
12Eshton was the father of Beth Rapha, Paseah and Tehinnah the father of Ir Nahash. These were the men of Recah.	12וְאֶשְׁתֹּון הֹולִיד אֶת־בֵּית רָפָא וְאֶת־פָּסֵחַ וְאֶת־תְּחִנָּה אֲבִי עִיר נָחָשׁ אֵלֶּה אַנְשֵׁי רֵכָה׃ ס
13The sons of Kenaz: Othniel and Seraiah. The sons of Othniel: Hathath and Meonothai.	13וּבְנֵי קְנַז עָתְנִיאֵל וּשְׂרָיָה וּבְנֵי עָתְנִיאֵל חֲתַת׃
14Meonothai was the father of Ophrah. Seraiah was the father of Joab, the father of Ge Harashim. It was called this because its people were craftsmen.	14וּמְעֹונֹתַי הֹולִיד אֶת־עָפְרָה וּשְׂרָיָה הֹולִיד אֶת־יֹואָב אֲבִי גֵּיא חֲרָשִׁים כִּי חֲרָשִׁים הָיוּ׃ ף
15The sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah and Naam. The son of Elah: Kenaz.	15וּבְנֵי כָּלֵב בֶּן־יְפֻנֶּה עִירוּ אֵלָה וָנָעַם וּבְנֵי אֵלָה וּקְנַז׃
16The sons of Jehallelel: Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria and Asarel.	16וּבְנֵי יְהַלֶּלְאֵל זִיף וְזִיפָה תִּירְיָא וַאֲשַׂרְאֵל׃
17The sons of Ezrah: Jether, Mered, Epher and Jalon. One of Mered's wives gave birth to Miriam, Shammai and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.	17וּבֶן־עֶזְרָה יֶתֶר וּמֶרֶד וְעֵפֶר וְיָלֹון וַתַּהַר אֶת־מִרְיָם וְאֶת־שַׁמַּי וְאֶת־יִשְׁבָּח אֲבִי אֶשְׁתְּמֹעַ׃
18(His Judean wife gave birth to Jered the father of Gedor, Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah.) These were the children of Pharaoh's daughter Bithiah, whom Mered had married.	18וְאִשְׁתֹּו הַיְהֻדִיָּה יָלְדָה אֶת־יֶרֶד אֲבִי גְדֹור וְאֶת־חֶבֶר אֲבִי שֹׂוכֹו וְאֶת־יְקוּתִיאֵל אֲבִי זָנֹוחַ וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי בִּתְיָה בַת־פַּרְעֹה אֲשֶׁר לָקַח מָרֶד׃ ס
19The sons of Hodiah's wife, the sister of Naham: the father of Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maacathite.	19וּבְנֵי אֵשֶׁת הֹודִיָּה אֲחֹות נַחַם אֲבִי קְעִילָה הַגַּרְמִי וְאֶשְׁתְּמֹעַ הַמַּעֲכָתִי׃
20The sons of Shimon: Amnon, Rinnah, Ben-Hanan and Tilon. The descendants of Ishi: Zoheth and Ben-Zoheth.	20וּבְנֵי שִׁימֹון אַמְנֹון וְרִנָּה בֶּן־חָןָן [כ= וְתֹולֹון] [ק= וְתִילֹון] וּבְנֵי יִשְׁעִי זֹוחֵת וּבֶן־זֹוחֵת׃
21The sons of Shelah son of Judah: Er the father of Lecah, Laadah the father of Mareshah and the clans of the linen workers at Beth Ashbea,	21בְּנֵי שֵׁלָה בֶן־יְהוּדָה עֵר אֲבִי לֵכָה וְלַעְדָּה אֲבִי מָרֵשָׁה וּמִשְׁפְּחֹות בֵּית־עֲבֹדַת הַבֻּץ לְבֵית אַשְׁבֵּעַ׃
22Jokim, the men of Cozeba, and Joash and Saraph, who ruled in Moab and Jashubi Lehem. (These records are from ancient times.)	22וְיֹוקִים וְאַנְשֵׁי כֹזֵבָא וְיֹואָשׁ וְשָׂרָף אֲשֶׁר־בָּעֲלוּ לְמֹואָב וְיָשֻׁבִי לָחֶם וְהַדְּבָרִים עַתִּיקִים׃
23They were the potters who lived at Netaim and Gederah; they stayed there and worked for the king.	23הֵמָּה הַיֹּוצְרִים וְיֹשְׁבֵי נְטָעִים וּגְדֵרָה עִם־הַמֶּלֶךְ בִּמְלַאכְתֹּו יָשְׁבוּ שָׁם׃ ס
24The descendants of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah and Shaul;	24בְּנֵי שִׁמְעֹון נְמוּאֵל וְיָמִין יָרִיב זֶרַח שָׁאוּל׃
25Shallum was Shaul's son, Mibsam his son and Mishma his son.	25שַׁלֻּם בְּנֹו מִבְשָׂם בְּנֹו מִשְׁמָע בְּנֹו׃
26The descendants of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son and Shimei his son.	26וּבְנֵי מִשְׁמָע חַמּוּאֵל בְּנֹו זַכּוּר בְּנֹו שִׁמְעִי בְנֹו׃
27Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but his brothers did not have many children; so their entire clan did not become as numerous as the people of Judah.	27וּלְשִׁמְעִי בָּנִים שִׁשָּׁה עָשָׂר וּבָנֹות שֵׁשׁ וּלְאֶחָיו אֵין בָּנִים רַבִּים וְכֹל מִשְׁפַּחְתָּם לֹא הִרְבּוּ עַד־בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה׃ ס
28They lived in Beersheba, Moladah, Hazar Shual,	28וַיֵּשְׁבוּ בִּבְאֵר־שֶׁבַע וּמֹולָדָה וַחֲצַר שׁוּעָל׃
29Bilhah, Ezem, Tolad,	29וּבְבִלְהָה וּבְעֶצֶם וּבְתֹולָד׃
30Bethuel, Hormah, Ziklag,	30וּבִבְתוּאֵל וּבְחָרְמָה וּבְצִיקְלָג׃
31Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susim, Beth Biri and Shaaraim. These were their towns until the reign of David.	31וּבְבֵית מַרְכָּבֹות וּבַחֲצַר סוּסִים וּבְבֵית בִּרְאִי וּבְשַׁעֲרָיִם אֵלֶּה עָרֵיהֶם עַד־מְלֹךְ דָּוִיד׃
32Their surrounding villages were Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Token and Ashan-five towns-	32וְחַצְרֵיהֶם עֵיטָם וָעַיִן רִמֹּון וְתֹכֶן וְעָשָׁן עָרִים חָמֵשׁ׃
33and all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath. These were their settlements. And they kept a genealogical record.	33וְכָל־חַצְרֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבֹות הֶעָרִים הָאֵלֶּה עַד־בָּעַל זֹאת מֹושְׁבֹתָם וְהִתְיַחְשָׂם לָהֶם׃
34Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah son of Amaziah,	34וּמְשֹׁובָב וְיַמְלֵךְ וְיֹושָׁה בֶּן־אֲמַצְיָה׃
35Joel, Jehu son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,	35וְיֹואֵל וְיֵהוּא בֶּן־יֹושִׁבְיָה בֶּן־שְׂרָיָה בֶּן־עֲשִׂיאֵל׃
36also Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah,	36וְאֶלְיֹועֵינַי וְיַעֲקֹבָה וִישֹׁוחָיָה וַעֲשָׂיָה וַעֲדִיאֵל וִישִׂימִאֵל וּבְנָיָה׃
37and Ziza son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah.	37וְזִיזָא בֶן־שִׁפְעִי בֶן־אַלֹּון בֶּן־יְדָיָה בֶן־שִׁמְרִי בֶּן־שְׁמַעְיָה׃
38The men listed above by name were leaders of their clans. Their families increased greatly,	38אֵלֶּה הַבָּאִים בְּשֵׁמֹות נְשִׂיאִים בְּמִשְׁפְּחֹותָם וּבֵית אֲבֹותֵיהֶם פָּרְצוּ לָרֹוב׃
39and they went to the outskirts of Gedor to the east of the valley in search of pasture for their flocks.	39וַיֵּלְכוּ לִמְבֹוא גְדֹר עַד לְמִזְרַח הַגָּיְא לְבַקֵּשׁ מִרְעֶה לְצֹאנָם׃
40They found rich, good pasture, and the land was spacious, peaceful and quiet. Some Hamites had lived there formerly.	40וַיִּמְצְאוּ מִרְעֶה שָׁמֵן וָטֹוב וְהָאָרֶץ רַחֲבַת יָדַיִם וְשֹׁקֶטֶת וּשְׁלֵוָה כִּי מִן־חָם הַיֹּשְׁבִים שָׁם לְפָנִים׃
41The men whose names were listed came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. They attacked the Hamites in their dwellings and also the Meunites who were there and completely destroyed them, as is evident to this day. Then they settled in their place, because there was pasture for their flocks.	41וַיָּבֹאוּ אֵלֶּה הַכְּתוּבִים בְּשֵׁמֹות בִּימֵי יְחִזְקִיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָה וַיַּכּוּ אֶת־אָהֳלֵיהֶם וְאֶת־[כ= הַמְּעִינִים] [ק= הַמְּעוּנִים] אֲשֶׁר נִמְצְאוּ־שָׁמָּה וַיַּחֲרִיםֻם עַד־הַיֹּום הַזֶּה וַיֵּשְׁבוּ תַּחְתֵּיהֶם כִּי־מִרְעֶה לְצֹאנָם שָׁם׃
42And five hundred of these Simeonites, led by Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi, invaded the hill country of Seir.	42וּמֵהֶם מִן־בְּנֵי שִׁמְעֹון הָלְכוּ לְהַר שֵׂעִיר אֲנָשִׁים חֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות וּפְלַטְיָה וּנְעַרְיָה וּרְפָיָה וְעֻזִּיאֵל בְּנֵי יִשְׁעִי בְּרֹאשָׁם׃
43They killed the remaining Amalekites who had escaped, and they have lived there to this day.	43וַיַּכּוּ אֶת־שְׁאֵרִית הַפְּלֵטָה לַעֲמָלֵק וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׁם עַד הַיֹּום הַזֶּה׃

1유다의 아들들은 베레스와 헤스론과 갈미와 훌과 소발이라

2소발의 아들 르아야는 야핫을 낳고 야핫은 아후매와 라핫을 낳았으니 이는 소라 사람의 종족이며

3에담 조상의 자손들은 이스르엘과 이스마와 잇바스와 그들의 매제 하술렐보니와

4그돌의 아버지 브누엘과 후사의 아버지에셀이니 이는 다 베들레헴의 아버지 에브라다의 맏아들 훌의 소생이며

5드고아의 아버지 아스훌의 두 아내는 헬라와 나아라라

6나아라는 그에게 아훗삼과 헤벨과 데므니와 하아하스다리를 낳아 주었으니 이는 나아라의 소생이요

7헬라의 아들들은 세렛과 이소할과 에드난이며

8고스는 아눕과 소베바와 하룸의 아들 아하헬 종족들을 낳았으며

9야베스는 그의 형제보다 귀중한 자라 그의 어머니가 이름하여 이르되 야베스라 하였으니 이는 내가 수고로이 낳았다 함이었더라

10야베스가 이스라엘 하나님께 아뢰어 이르되 주께서 내게 복을 주시려거든 나의 지역을 넓히시고 주의 손으로 나를 도우사 나로 환난을 벗어나 내게 근심이 없게 하옵소서 하였더니 하나님이 그가 구하는 것을 허락하셨더라

11수하의 형 글룹이 므힐을 낳았으니 므힐은 에스돈의 아버지요

12에스돈은 베드라바와 바세아와 이르나하스의 아버지 드힌나를 낳았으니 이는 다 레가 사람이며

13그나스의 아들들은 옷니엘과 스라야요 옷니엘의 아들은 하닷이며

14므오노대는 오브라를 낳고 스라야는 요압을 낳았으니 요압은 게하라심의 조상이라 그들은 공장이었더라

15여분네의 아들 갈렙의 자손은 이루와 엘라와 나암과 엘라의 자손과 그나스요

16여할렐렐의 아들은 십과 시바와 디리아와 아사렐이요

17에스라의 아들들은 예델과 메렛과 에벨과 얄론이며 메렛은 미리암과 삼매와 에스드모아의 조상 이스바를 낳았으니

18이는 메렛이 아내로 맞은 바로의 딸 비디아의 아들들이며 또 그의 아내 여후디야는 그돌의 조상 예렛과 소고의 조상 헤벨과 사노아의 조상 여구디엘을 낳았으며

19나함의 누이인 호디야의 아내의 아들들은 가미 사람 그일라의 아버지와 마아가 사람 에스드모아며

20시몬의 아들들은 암논과 린나와 벤하난과 딜론이요 이시의 아들들은 소헷과 벤소헷이더라

21유다의 아들 셀라의 자손은 레가의 아버지 에르와 마레사의 아버지 라아다와 세마포 짜는 자의 집 곧 아스베야의 집 종족과

22또 요김과 고세바 사람들과 요아스와 모압을 다스리던 사랍과 야수비네헴이니 이는 다 옛 기록에 의존한 것이라

23이 모든 사람은 토기장이가 되어 수풀과 산울 가운데에 거주하는 자로서 거기서 왕과 함께 거주하면서 왕의 일을 하였더라

24시므온의 아들들은 느무엘과 야민과 야립과 세라와 사울이요

25사울의 아들은 살룸이요 그의 아들은 밉삼이요 그의 아들은 미스마요

26미스마의 아들은 함무엘이요 그의 아들은 삭굴이요 그의 아들은 시므이라

27시므이에게는 아들 열여섯과 딸 여섯이 있으나 그의 형제에게는 자녀가 몇이 못되니 그들의 온 종족이 유다 자손처럼 번성하지 못하였더라

28시므온 자손이 거주한 곳은 브엘세바와 몰라다와 하살수알과

29빌하와 에셈과 돌랏과

30브두엘과 호르마와 시글락과

31벧말가봇과 하살수심과 벧비리와 사아라임이니 다윗 왕 때까지 이 모든 성읍이 그들에게 속하였으며

32그들이 사는 곳은 에담과 아인과 림몬과 도겐과 아산 다섯 성읍이요

33또 모든 성읍 주위에 살던 주민들의 경계가 바알까지 다다랐으니 시므온 자손의 거주지가 이러하고 각기 계보가 있더라

34또 메소밥과 야믈렉과 아마시야의 아들 요사와

35요엘과 아시엘의 증손 스라야의 손자 요시비야의 아들 예후와

36또 엘료에내와 야아고바와 여소하야와 아사야와 아디엘과 여시미엘과 브나야와

37또 스마야의 오대 손 시므리의 현손 여다야의 증손 알론의 손자 시비의 아들은 시사이니

38여기 기록된 것들은 그들의 종족과 그들의 가문의 지도자들의 이름이라 그들이 매우 번성한지라

39그들이 그들의 양 떼를 위하여 목장을 구하고자 하여 골짜기 동쪽 그돌 지경에 이르러

40기름지고 아름다운 목장을 발견하였는데 그 땅이 넓고 안정 되고 평안하니 이는 옛적부터 거기에 거주해 온 사람은 함의 자손인 까닭이라

41이 명단에 기록된 사람들이 유다 왕 히스기야 때에 가서 그들의 장막을 쳐서 무찌르고 거기에 있는 모우님 사람을 쳐서 진멸하고 대신하여 오늘까지 거기에 살고 있으니 이는 그들의 양 떼를 먹일 목장이 거기에 있음이며

42또 시므온 자손 중에 오백 명이 이시의 아들 블라댜와 느아랴와 르바야와 웃시엘을 두목으로 삼고 세일 산으로 가서

43피신하여 살아남은 아말렉 사람을 치고 오늘까지 거기에 거주하고 있더라
