1 The vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 1 이것은 아모스의 아들 이사야가 유다 왕 웃시야와 요담과 아하스와 히스기야 시대에 본 환상입니다. 하나님께서 이사야에게 유다와 예루살렘에 일어날 일을 보여 주셨습니다. 2 Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: 'I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me. 2 하늘이여, 들어라! 땅이여, 귀를 기울여라! 여호와께서 말씀하신다. "내가 내 자녀를 키우고 길렀으나, 그들이 나를 배반했다. 3 The ox knows his master, the donkey his owner's manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand." 3 소도 제 주인을 알고, 나귀도 제 주인의 여물통을 알지만, 이스라엘은 알지 못하고, 내 백성은 깨닫지 못하는구나." 4 Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him. 4 죄를 지은 민족, 이스라엘에게 재앙이 닥친다. 이 백성은 허물이 가득하다. 그들은 몹쓸 짓을 하는 자녀요, 악으로 가득한 자식들이다. 그들은 여호와를 저버리고, 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분, 하나님을 무시하고 등을 돌렸다. 5 Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted. 5 어찌하여 너희가 맞을 짓만 하느냐? 어찌하여 자꾸 하나님을 배반하느냐? 너희 머리는 상했고, 마음도 병들었구나. 6 From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness-only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil. 6 머리부터 발끝까지 성한 곳 한 군데도 없이, 온몸이 다치고 멍들고 상처투성이구나. 그런데도 치료하지 못하고, 싸매지도 못하고, 기름을 바르지도 못하는구나. 7 Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid waste as when overthrown by strangers. 7 너희 땅이 황폐해졌고, 너희 성들이 불타 버렸다. 너희가 보는 앞에서 원수들이 너희 땅을 약탈했고, 이방인에 의하여 멸망당한 것처럼 너희 땅이 폐허가 되어 버렸다. 8 The Daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a city under siege. 8 딸 시온이 마치 포도밭의 텅 빈 초막처럼 홀로 남았다. 수박밭의 원두막같이, 원수들에게 포위된 성같이 되어 버렸다. 9 Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah. 9 만군의 여호와께서 우리 백성 가운데 얼마를 남겨 두지 않으셨다면, 우리는 소돔과 고모라 성처럼 완전히 망했을 것이다. 10 Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah! 10 소돔의 통치자들과 같은 너희 예루살렘 통치자들아, 여호와의 말씀을 들어라. 고모라 백성과 같은 너희 백성들아, 우리 하나님의 가르침에 귀 기울여라. 11 'The multitude of your sacrifices-what are they to me?' says the LORD. 'I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. 11 여호와께서 말씀하신다. "나는 너희가 바친 이 모든 제물을 바라지 않는다. 이제는 너희의 숫양 번제물과 살진 짐승의 기름이 지겹다. 수송아지와 양과 염소의 피도 반갑지 않다. 12 When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts? 12 너희는 나를 만나러 오지만, 누가 너희더러 이렇게 들락날락하며 내 마당만 밟으라고 했느냐? 13 Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations-I cannot bear your evil assemblies. 13 다시는 헛된 제물을 가져오지 마라. 너희가 태우는 향이 역겹다. 너희가 초하루 축제일과 안식일과 특별 절기에 모이는 것도 참을 수 없고, 거룩한 모임에 모여서 악한 짓을 하는 것도 견딜 수 없다. 14 Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. 14 정말로 나는 너희의 초하루 축제일과 특별 절기들이 역겹다. 그것들은 오히려 내게 무거운 짐이 될 뿐이다. 나는 그것들을 짊어지기에는, 너무 지쳤다. 15 When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood; 15 너희가 팔을 벌려 내게 기도해도 나는 눈을 감고 너희를 쳐다보지 않겠다. 아무리 기도를 많이 해도 들어 주지 않겠다. 왜냐하면 너희 손이 피로 가득하기 때문이다. 16 wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong, 16 너희는 몸을 씻어 깨끗이 하여라. 내가 보는 앞에서 하던 악한 짓을 멈추어라. 못된 짓을 그만두어라. 17 learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow. 17 옳은 일을 배우고 정의를 찾아라. 억눌림받는 사람을 구해 주고, 재판에서 고아들을 지켜 주며, 과부들의 억울한 사정을 들어 주어라." 18 'Come now, let us reason together,' says the LORD. 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. 18 여호와의 말씀이다. "오너라, 우리 서로 이야기해 보자. 너희 죄가 심하게 얼룩졌을지라도 눈처럼 깨끗해질 것이며, 너희 죄가 진홍색처럼 붉을지라도 양털처럼 희어질 것이다. 19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; 19 너희가 기꺼이 내게 복종하면, 땅에서 나는 좋은 작물을 먹을 것이다. 20 but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.'
